The 5.2 cu. ft. high efficiency top load washer by LG is energy star qualified and offers steam wash, turbowash that saves times for larger loads, and NSF certified sanitary cycle. This washing machine is solidly ranked and most would recommend it. Some had issues with the durability and noise levels.

My 20 year old washer died recently....I know, it does not owe us anything! I have had excellent luck with other LG products recently (stove, dishwasher) so I purchased this washer (and will get the dryer once that dies). Very happy with my purchase. My clothes are very clean!

This washer is well made, easy to use, relatively quiet, has plenty of room for large loads and does a great job getting laundry clean. In some reviews, I read that the tub was so big that a small/short person has to get on a step stool to reach the laundry. I am a 5'1" woman with no problem reaching down to get the laundry out. We have only had this washer for a month but so far we are very satisfied with our purchase. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this washer and LG was one of the top rated on every list. I have had good success with LG purchases in the past so I feel confident that the washer will not disappoint.
Love this washing machne
We bought this because my old washer went out. It washes great and is stylish and is large enough to fit large loads and still get them clean! The easy close top is nice with my kids, I don't have to worry about it getting slammed. I have enjoyed having this washer and we ordered the matching dryer!

We had put up with our previous HE top-loader for too long, assuming that all washers nowadays used no water and didn't really get things clean like the washers of olden days. But then a friend told us that these LG washers used actual water if you asked them to! Sure enough, it's the real deal. Our clothes get really, truly clean. Some of the cycles take really long (well over 2 hours when using steam), but our typical cycles are just over an hour and the huge capacity helps keep the workload moving. Thank you, LG!
All cycles on this washer are fantastic, and my clothes have never been cleaner. As it's all 'electronic' it took a little getting used to, but now that's past, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the superior technology involved in creating this wonderful washing machine. I bought this washer and the companion gas dryer through Home Depot's website about 1 month ago. I couldn't be happier with the washer & dryer and the on-line purchase experience. The washer does exactly what you expect it to do. It's much quieter than the one it's replacing. The controls are fairly straightforward. Our previous washer would have balance problems during spin, the LG's spin cycle is quiet and smooth. The detergent, softner and bleach dispensers are easily accessible and have correct level indicators. The clothes & towels are washed well and they don't get frayed at all. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Bought and had installed about 3 weeks ago. The HD installers were smooth and quick, caring for the installation and old equipment removal in less than 30 min. The washer itself is an animal - in a great way. We absolutely love the 5.2 capacity vs. 4.5. It makes a huge difference if you, like us, are doing at least one load a day. The ability of this machine to handle large vs. small loads is vastly superior to anything we've ever had. We also love that the bowl does not have the middle agitator. Amazing how much space is gained by not having that thing and not worrying about all your laundry getting tied up around that thing. The turbo wash feature is also great - our loads often take only 30 min or less now. Overall, I'd highly recommend this product, especially for a family of 4 or more.
love the size!
We got this washer 3 months ago and I absolutely love it! I love that it reads the weight of a small load or a large load. I can wash my king size comforter with ease and I have even washed my horses large heavy weight turn out blanket! I don't ever have to go to a laundry mat ever again! We replaced out 8 yr old front loader with this LG top loader, and love the machine. Love all the different options for washing different types of things. Only slight drawback is the spin cycle is not a fast as our front loader, so our 28 yr old dryer takes more than once cycle to dry towels and jeans. I bought this washer about a month ago and had an old GE before this with an agitator. I did a lot of research and decided on this model and have not been disappointed. The drum is huge! I used to wash about 4-5 loads a week and now do it in 2 (one dark and one light) and still have plenty of room. I was able to wash 2 dog beds, a blanket and 2 towels with room to spare and no thumping sounds with the weight. The auto calibration is fantastic. I read the manual and played around with the cycles to see what worked best for my needs and haven't had any problems with stains or water levels. The sanitary setting is amazing, although it takes about 3 hours. It was able to get out a musty smell from towels I had left in my old washer too long. This is totally worth the money. Beautiful design and great functionality including Energy Star approval
This washer has great space for clothes as it does not have a center spindle but rather is completely open (see photo). The control panel has every option my wife and I could ever want including settings for bedding, towels, whites, delay wash, hot and cold water options. Besides all that, the unit provides custom programs to be created and run. To avoid hitting the open lid on the 12 inch deep cabinet above the washer required the washer to be out from the wall about 7 inches (see photo).

This washer is a MONSTER! (good way)! Todays my second day with the washer and its fantastic! when it finished cleaning, it smelled like new! I had a old washer of kenmore for 15 years and we needed a new one and we got this lg washer and dryer and its the best decision! Other top loaders don't clean well but this top loader DOES! i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS WASHER AND DRYER FANTASTIC!!!

This washer is amazing. I've used many of the different settings already, and am so glad I chose the LG. It has more than exceeded my expectations, and would recommend this product to everyone. My old one was 18 years old, and did not have any of the additional options that this unit has. I love it!

I love this new washer. Its so quiet you don't even know its on. Its very roomy without the agitator in the way. I don't like child proof locks however on this one you can pause it to see whats going on. At the end of the cycle it plays cute music to let you know its done! I've only had it for a short time but it has more than met my expectations! Beautifully designed!
So far so good
I just got my new washer. Have done two loads one was bath towels that had been sitting several days. Waiting for me to go buy and have new washer delivered. Wonderful. Had to keep checking if it was running. Towels came out clean and smelling great. Love this washer. I just wish my arms where a bit longer. It's a big tub. But I can overcome that. I wanted the large tub to do quilts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So far I like this washing machine that replaced a 2-month old Whirlpool Cabrio that didn't wash clothes very well and had multiple service issues.
So much awesomeness so little laundry
This washer is beautiful! I kind of hate to have it hidden in my Laundry Room. I has a glass and chrome lid that really adds to the beauty. The only thing about the chrome is that it does show fingerprints, however, they are really easy to remove. One of the most import https://www.homebrands.org/files/notes for success is that this machine is designed to use only he (high efficiency) type detergent. the slide out tray can adjust for liquid or powder (read the directions) as well as fabric softener. there is an additional dispenser on the front corner for bleach. it is the quietest washer i’ve ever had. It has the LG TrueBalance that assures a quiet wash even with the largest load. When it senses that it is getting out of balance, it adds water to balance the load again. The washer is larger than any washer I’ve ever had. When looking in the tub, it almost looks like I could get in there easily (no, I’m not going to try this). Not having that center agitator really makes a huge difference in how much you can get in it. It handles really huge loads with ease. I was able to wash 10 beach towels at once with space left over. After company (6 adults and 7 children) left, I was able to do all the laundry in 2 loads – a towel load and a sheet load. I cannot believe how fast I was done. I had 2 king size sheet sets, 2 twin sets and one full size set and plenty of room left. With my old washer, I’d be washing for what seemed like forever. What makes it so powerful is LG’s WaveForce technology that utilizes rapid drum movement and powerful water jets to provide thorough washing action that, while powerful, it’s gentle on clothes. This awesome machine has 14 wash cycle; Pre Wash+ Normal, Cotton/Normal, Tub Clean, Bulky/Bedding, Heavy Duty, Perm. Press, Speed Wash, Delicates, Bright Whites, Towels, Sanitary, Allergiene, Waterproof and a cycle called downloaded. You can download new cycles from LG using the Tag On feature. I need to study up on using TagOn because it seems that it can do lots of things I’ve never imagined. I’ve also never had a machine that had a cycle to clean itself. Haven’t had it long enough to try that yet but I wish my older front load washer (used in my dad’s apartment) had this. There are also 14 options that go with the cycles; Soak, Extra Rinse, Fabric Softener, Delay Wash, Child Lock, Custom Program PGM Save, Signal, Rinse+Spin, Spin Only, ColdWash, StainCare, Water Plus, Add Garment. Yes, there is an Add Garment option, if you forget something, you can open the machine when the “Add Garment” light comes on and throw in more items. The TurboWash can save up to 20 minutes on a cycle but cannot be used with all cycles and/or options. In fact all options don’t work with all cycles. It has 4 wash temperatures; Extra Hot, Hot, Warm, Cold, Tap Cold that you can change on some cycles. I have experimented to see when I can change the temperatures. ALL rinse cycles are cold. There are 4 spin speeds which make sure you can get the right one for your fabric. They are; Extra High, High, Medium, Low, No Spin There are 3 soil levels – Light , normal and heavy. There is a chart in the manual that shows all the options, temperatures soil level and spin speeds with each cycle. The water level is determined by the machine – which is amazing to me how it knows. You can use the Water Plus option for larger loads or items to get even better cleaning. According to the information I read, “ The SenseClean system automatically sets the water level and washes time for each load providing optimal washing care and conservation” I can’t imagine how it knows what it knows but so far my laundry has been awesome. With all these combinations, I can’t imagine that there is anything that can’t be washed. (But just in case, there is the steam cycles on the matching dryer for pillows etc that shouldn’t be washed) You can set up to a 19 hour delay which I’m not sure I’ll use because I’m always doing laundry at the last minute.

Extremely quiet and does an amazing job at cleaning the clothes. I was very impressed with how little water is used compared to my old machine. This one actually senses the amount of clothes in the load and adds the appropriate amount of water needed. I also liked the steam selection for added sanitization. The quiet motion on the lid is a nice touch as well. No more of the slamming shut when closing the lid and the door locks once the cycle begins. A nice feature for anyone with small children. I am quite satisfied with my purchase especially getting the Black Friday savings.
Wash it all, it'll fit
I have the matching dryer and so this review is almost identical. This washing machine has so many options that I think the only thing it won't do is make me a sandwich. The user manual is the size of a small paperback. You would think a washing machine is pretty straightforward but spend a few minutes reading about the various options if you want to get the most out of this machine. First off, the matching set looks beautiful. It's called black stainless but it's more of a charcoal color, and it's fingerprint resistant. When opening the lid, the first thing you'll notice is the size of the washing drum. It's huge. You could fit a small adult in there. I cant imagine ever overloading this thing. The top has a soft close lid. Necessary? No. Nice to have? Definitely. When running the machine is whisper quiet, I left the laundry room door open and I could barely hear it over the television. And the machine has a mind of its own. It detected an out of balance load when it was doing one of it's rinse cycles. It stopped spinning, and strategically added water to certain areas of the drum in order to adjust the balance. Day to day I'll likely just keep it on normal setting, but it's nice having the other washing options available. And you can also create custom wash cycles, extend the time, adjust the temp or spinning speed. You can even set the machine to run several hours in the future if you want. You name it, it can probably do it. Just spend a little time reading the book first.
Nice quiet Washer!
A most EXCELLENT washer! While washing my first load of laundry, I pulled up a stool, sat, and watched the thing wash ..... it has a water sensor so it knows how much water is needed and how long to wash ..... the inside drum has NO agitator, but wings on the tub bottom, so clothes won't get trapped or damaged .... there is also a Child Safety Lock on the lid. Overall, I am very impressed with this washer! The delivery men were kind and very helpful .... showing me where to load the detergent .... they unpacked the machine, placed it where I wanted it, hooked it up, and ran a short simulation cycle to make sure it was working properly .... they were also willing to haul off my other machine if needed.

We got this washer after our 1 yr old Samsung top loaded was recalled. I'm glad it was, because this washer is much better. It's the same capacity but it's not as tall, so I can actually get the clothes from the bottom of the tub without using a stool - I am 5'3". There is a wide array of cycle options and it's nice and quiet and doesn't shake like others I've seen. I've had front loaders before, but when I had to buy a new washer a year ago I chose a top loader to avoid the mildew issue around the front door - we could never get rid of that and it was gross - that's not an issue with top loaders.
LG HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN
We constructed a new home in October of 2015 and all appliances were included in the purchase. Initially, we considered buying our own LG appliances for the home but didn't because we were informed that they were a notch better than "normal" construction appliances. After having owned LG washers/dryers in our 2 previous homes and after a year of living with the original ones which came with the house, we changed them to another set of LGs - thank goodness and none too soon:-) I can't even begin to compare them to the old set: quiet, efficient and functional in terms of overall performance. Now it's time to change out the fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave to the reliable LGs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
5.2 is the way to go!
We are very pleased with our purchase! The 5.2 cu ft size allows us to wash fewer times per week saving on detergent and energy. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls so the large capacity is great! The balancing feature keeps it spinning quietly and there are plenty of cycles to choose from. We've had it over a month and couldn't be happier! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Quiet and does a great job
We have had this washer for about four months replacing a competitor's washer that was recalled because it could go off balance and destroy itself. While we liked the last one this one is even better and quieter with more features. For a family of two we do a lot of washing, at least two a day, because of sports and spending time in the pool. Love shopping with homedepot online. Bought my refrigerator online and was able to set up delivery and everything. Two months later, I ordered my washing machine and dryer online and had the same great results. Love, love, love the fact you can do it all yourself online and still can count on it going as planned !!! The appliances are all I hoped they would be and more. Very happy!!

This is truly a large capacity! It does in three loads what our old washer took six to do. Hand towels that I thought were permanently discolored in the old washer have vibrant colors after one wash in this one. It has many different settings, not all of which I have used. One inconvenience is that the pre-wash cycle requires you to return to add soap when it starts its wash cycle.
What A Machine!
Outstanding cleaning power, size and QUIET! Love the Diamond Glass Lid to watch progress. Simple 5 minute installation and easy to follow instructions. Great display panel and easy to use controls. Auto load balance, smart water flow...so many bells and whistles, it's nothing short of amazing technology. Thanks LG! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great washing machine
I bought this about a month ago and waited to submit the review. The washer is very good. We like the "add water" feature since all the new washers we have tried don't seem to add enough water. Save the water and find your washing is not really clean? Love the high spin cycle. Clothes are really spun out nicely. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This washer has cut my laundry time in half! Large capacity allows for large loads; many cycles to choose from, including Turbo Wash. I have washed towels, linens and many types of clothing over last month and each load has washed well. It is very quiet and has a melody signal when wash is finished. The tub is deep so if 5'2" like me, you may need to step on tip toes to grab items such as socks. This doesn't bother me. I also purchased the matching gas dryer and like that too.
Efficient and effective product. eases very well and extremely dependable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Give yourself a gift you will love.
Wow this is the best washer I have ever witnessed. I pulled out some old things that were un-cleanable and this powered the old stains out of them. I tried the delay overnight and it worked perfectly. What a smart fantastic washer. The capacity is awesome. I cleaned a comforter that I used to take to the cleaners with no problem. The steam powered stains they couldn't get out away. The controls are bright and easy to read. Plus they are in perfect location so you don't hit the wrong setting when loading. Super quiet. I wasn't sure it was working but you can see through the tinted lid and it was spinning super fast. I really recommend this. With such a high quality efficient cost saving washer I don't think I will ever need another one. I searched the house for things to wash just to enjoy this washer. I also have the matching dryer and as a pair they are the best household appliances I have ever owned. Thank you LG and Home Depot.
Great washer great options
The first one that came to me was off balance or there was something wrong with it however LG was very quick what's replacing it within one week I had another one brand new works well very stylish and you have the quick wash option for 28 minutes and you have steam wash option I have the matching dryer and the set is sharp and let and let me tell you I ordered the original washer and dryer set from Lowe's and they produced my dryer however sent me a washer all scratched up in the front because they don't keep their appliances boxed up when they deliver on and second of all they couldn't find me another one I waited a month and a half and then another few weeks finally I called Home Depot and I spoke with Carol and the Appliance Department vantastic employee Home Depot definitely deliver the customer service I had my washer within the week and they even sent me a nice letter will never order from Lowe's again if you're looking at buying a washer and dryer get it from Home Depot
Looks and washes so differently than older washers
We purchased this washer recently to replace a recalled washer from another company. I wish we had purchased this first. It is so quiet. There is no tall agitator in it. The washer does it all. It weighs the clothes to see how much water is needed. This washer isn't designed to use a full tub of water saving you money and not wasting water. The things that it can do are unreal. Sometimes I watch inside the washer to see what it is going to do next. I estimate that this washes three loads at one time. It easily has more than ample room to wash king size comfortably. We love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The washer is very quiet and efficient and easy to use. It is appealing in looks as well. This is my second LG washer and I have not been disappointed either time so far.

The features and functionality of the machine is great. The clothes are so much cleaner! In summary... Mind Blown!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great Looking & It Washes!
This washer looks great and can get clothes clean. The finish is called Black Stainless and in some lights it does have a semi transparent black tint. It is darker than standard stainless finishes, but the color is different depending upon lighting and surroundings. For instance, in the photo I have included, the finish varies from gray to a brownish tint. I have washed 6 loads of laundry so far. They varied in load size and from towels to permanent press. This washer is an HE type that does not have the old style agitator in the tub. It instead has a swish plate in the bottom of the tub. Its important to read the manual for best washing results. The photo shows an example from the instructions. This washer has a lot of wash options to select from. The photo shows the control panel. The amount of options can be a little daunting, but correct selection can result in the cleanest clothes. Most of the complaints about operation of this type of washer result from improperly loading it and the wrong amount of detergent. Detergent that is HE rated, and fabric softner are poured into the tray shown in the photo. I did not have any problems during spin cycle with imbalance. My clothes came out clean. The washer has a glass lid which allows you to watch what is going on. See the video to watch a shortened version of the wash and rinse cycles. The clothes were subjected to multiple types of agitation during the wash and rinse cycles including spinning the water and detergent through the clothes.
Bought this to replace a recalled washer from Samsung. This is a great product exceeds all expectations. Great sale price from Home Depot
It's much quieter than our previous machine and does a great job at washing clothes.

Loads of fun!
Wow. What an elegant washing machine! The black stainless with the chrome edge gives it that nice modern look. Compared to my old analog washer with the twist dials, this thing is a spaceship! All the technology behind it is amazing. You can even connect your phone to it! This washer is HUGE!! 5.2cu feet is so much space and can easily accommodate large bulky items such as bedding. I love how this washer machine lacks a central agitator. This means no more accidental tears! With 14 preset wash cycles, there is plenty to choose from for all of your particular needs. In fact, while using the mobile app, you can download additional custom cycles. The steam feature is unique and new to me. Not only does it help clean clothes using the sanitary cycle, but it is also used when doing the "clean tub" cycle. The Turbo Wash technology is awesome and really helps this appliance become more energy efficient. Every time you run it, it senses the weight/size and determines how much water will be needed and adjusts the overall cycle time as needed. Also, it is very quiet! Our laundry "room/closet" is located in our master bathroom. You can hardly notice the machine while running, so we even use it at night. The one thing I don't like is that after a cycle has completed, the "cycle finished" LEDs don't stay for very long (maybe an hour). I wish there was just one small green LED that would stay lit until the lid had been opened. That way a load isn't accidentally left in there for too long. With all that being said, I absolutely LOVE this washer and would HIGHLY recommend it!
Works as expected
I love this machine. It replaced a cabrio washer that died in three years. The only downside I see is that I'm 5'2 and have to stretch to reach clothes in the back the of the washer and when you press start and the system locks make sure the front of your body parts don't hug the machine or you could get pinched. Otherwise it's awsome

This machine leaves your clothes thoroughly washed. They come out very fresh. It is simple to operate. It is beautiful too. Although I will most likely use just a few of the cycles it offers, it does not have so many that it is overwhelming. I am very happy with this purchase.
Our washer arrived on 10/26/16. Our delivery guys were awesome. They removed our old Maytag to the basement. The new LG works wonderfully. You cannot hear it running. It cleans great. Not noisily at all. Thank you HomeDepot (Ralph) our salesman from the Mukwonago WI store for your great customer service. Looking forward to many years of service. " Great Product LG". I WOULD Recommend this LG washing machine to anyone. It's definitely a 10.

Really nice washer
This is a really sharp looking washer with a lot of features. It has a nice electronic control panel and it plays a nice tune at the end. It also has a child lock which might be good to use if you have young children. Because this washing machine is large at 5.2 cubic feet and it automatically figures out how much water to use I can throw in just a pair of socks or a sleeping bag. My last washer didn’t have this range. Also it doesn’t have an agitator in the middle of the drum so that gives you more room. It worries me a little that it uses way less water than I’m used to, but it seems to get stuff clean. There is a “Water Plus” option which you can use to add more water. I may end up using this option sometimes. Even though it has a lot of functions it is fairly easy to use and the manual is well written. Comparing the dimensions to the ones posted on the website I measured it as only 27” (686 mm) deep instead of 28.375. You will need about an extra 4” (101 mm) for the hoses connected at the back. The hoses come straight out and you won’t want to bend them too sharply. I like the “Allergiene” setting for sheets. I normally use a hot wash for my sheets in order to kill off dust mites them I’m allergic to. Now I can just set it to this setting. The only problem I had with it was with the outlet hose. In the manual it shows various setups depending on whether you are emptying into a drain pipe or a laundry sink. Because I have a laundry sink I bent the pipe over that and put a tie around the leg of the laundry sink. There is a picture in the manual that shows that exact set up. As soon as the washer started emptying the weight of the water in the long 5 foot (1.524 meters) hose pulled the hose down to the floor. Luckily I was next to the washer so I grabbed it quickly. On my old washer the outlet pipe is stiff with a permanent bend in it so it stays hooked on the laundry sink. Also the tie on the leg doesn’t hold it because the leg is angled. Luckily I came up with a pretty easy fix. I drilled a couple of holes through the plastic laundry sink and clamped the outlet pipe to it, see the photo. You will have to attach the hose like this if you have a laundry sink or if you have a drain pipe you can just tie the outlet pipe to the drain. I don’t like the fact that the detergent drawer ends up full of water after you use the washer but there are instructions in the manual on how to get the drawer out so you can empty out the water. You can also use the washer with a smart phone using its NFC (Near Field Communication) in order to either diagnose a problem or download cycles to the dryer. I haven’t tried this feature and probably won’t unless I have a real reason to.
Descent Washing Machine
So far, it has been a descent washing machine. I had one exactly like this for about four years and the transmission went out. I then bought a Samsung which ended up being recalled, which is when I went back to LG and purchased this one. I'm just hoping this one lasts longer than my first one.

This washer is replacing a 6 year old American brand washer. I bought the matching dryer as well. In terms of technical improvements it is a nice machine with lots of options. I would say it can handle a lot more laundry per load and the turbo wash function is nice as it gets the first load done much quicker. In terms of does it make clothes any cleaner than the old one - I haven't noticed any remarkable difference for normally soiled clothes. If you want a wash machine that cleans clothes even better get a front loader. Available space prevented getting this type. The one negative I have (unlike the matching dryer) is I find the machine shakes more than the last two top loading washers. It is level but it seems there is more play in the adjustable feet that prevents it from being more stable. It does not move across the floor and I have seen videos where similar machine (same brand) don't shake as much. I did get the pair right when they hit the stores so like any new model perhaps you have too wait a little longer before they get the bugs out. Also the manual shows a drying rake but it does not come with one like last year model. You can order it separate.
So far so good
Fairly quiet, works great. Love the water saving feature.. only uses the amount it needs. We love it. Had to learn how to use it by trial and error. Deliver guy hooked it up, made sure it worked and left. Didn't show me anything. Other than that, great so far....

Washer uses a bit more water than my problematic Maytag Neptune. Hopefully it will be more reliable. The design certainly seems more thoroughly thought out. One note. Don't count on a rebate from DTE if you order on line. Even register receipts do not show "0" balance as required by DTE Energy. "I'm sorry that your local energy agency didn't accept our online receipt, Anthony. The online receipt is the only receipt that I have available to me here at the online ordering department. To receive a register type of receipt it will be necessary for you to go the White Lake store and provide them with the order number 369250 so that they can provide you with a register receipt. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Have a nice day!"

I like the way it looks and it is quiet. I have found though that I have to use a prewash or heavy duty wash in order to clean clothes as well as my past washer did. Things just don't seem to get as clean unless I do this.

This beautiful machine does not live up to its review. I am finding the water does not spin completely out, even when I am constantly choosing the high speed/maximum spin. This causes me to use more dry time. Not happy with the dryer either. Having to choose maximum heat and very long dry times. All equals more energy being used.
This dryer has a feature that is supposed to sense when the items inside are dry. It tries to save energy by stopping when it thinks the clothes are dry. The issue is that many times, the load has not been completely dry, some items not even close. Also we kind of splurged for the steam fresh option that is supposed to steam wrinkles out of your clothes. This feature has left my shirts with wet spots all over and does not get rid of the wrinkles. Normally I would say that you get what you pay for. Especially seeing as this was an investment for many years to come, I was not going to be cheap. Unfortunately in this case, I would say I did not get what I paid for. I would not reccomend it. I would not buy it again.

It works great until it doesn't. After less than two months it stopped working with a cryptic error. We called LG support and they said the thermostat had gone out and arranged for service in 1-2 weeks. Perhaps that may be expected for a budget washer but not for a premium model that cost over $800. So now we have the fun time of draining the tub before it grows moldy over two weeks. Thanks a lot LG!

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I can't stand all the features of this machine with some that are so irritating as compared to a simple washer with 3 or 4 functions like my old Maytag of years past. I don't like a machine deciding how much water I need to add, weighing my clothes or having to press a button to load more clothes. I don't have young children and do not need a lock on the door. Also, when washing sheets with other items, the top sheet ends up in a ball covering all the other clothes as if that one sheet engulfed these items like a clam shell. Clothes don't seem clean to me even though I like the lack of an agitator. If my mother were alive, she would freak out over this machine. Wish I had purchased just a simple washer that lets me decide how I want clothes washed; not the machine/robot.

I purchased these brand new in January and these units were quite expensive. I was very excited to get them, but that excitement quickly turned into disappointment. I am constantly having lint issues when I pull my clothes out of the washing machine. I am only using about a tablespoon of HE recommended soap and I always sort my clothes properly and make sure there is nothing in the pockets. When I called LG service department they said to use a lint roller!!! I explained to them that I have never had this issue with a washing machine in the past. Also, the matching companion dryer that goes with the set never completely dries my clothing and they always come out wrinkled even though I use fabric softener. LG customer service was not very helpful and would not even send someone out to look at the units. I will NEVER purchase an LG w/d again.

This washer is a disaster - the only thing worse was the service from LG - Steam cycle did not work, the washer would fill at all different levels regardless of the amount of laundry in them. I spent hours on the phone doing panel resets and other things for LG - It is pretty bad when the local service guy tells me I have to get back to you in two weeks because we are going crazy with these problems. I shipped the washer back for the Samsung - 10000% better.

We had washer a couple days . After 3rd load we wanted to add bleach to the bleach dispenser and noticed it was full of water and was not draining. Called LG support. Was told to remove water and add bleach and run cleaning cycle. Now we had bleach not draining. LG said they were getting technician out. 3 days later when we called back was told they cant find anyone in area. We called several more times and each time was told they have 3-5 business days to find someone and over 2 weeks since first call. We called home depot who called LG and then told us LG was replacing washer and would get a call in 1-2 business days. This was a Friday so they would call by Wednesday. No call and on Wednesday I called LG. They told me there is no replacement washer and they had 2 more business days to locate tech then they would escalate to another group. Called back HD who called LG and told no new washer and cancelled the call. It is now another Friday again and told they would get back to us by next Tuesday. Don't ever buy LG product if you think the service will be good!!!

This washer is overrated. I washed one load and it stopped in the middle with an "UL" meaning "unbalanced load". I was only able to run the spin cycle after that not knowing if it washed any clothes.
Trouble after 1.5 mos
Bought 1.5 months ago and already getting ERROR code during washes stopping the unit from finishing the load. had to unplug for 60seconds to finish load per manual. Called service HOPEFULLY its not a lemon! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
