This dryer is a major improvement over my last dryer. All of the heat settings work well. The dryer is easy to operate. The end of cycle buzzer is a nice touch, but you won't hear it unless you are close to the dryer. The wrinkle gard is also a nice touch. The interior of the dryer is spacious so it will hold a lot of items. So far no issues with it.

 Quick Drying

We replaced our dryer and I am very happy with the quietness and speed with this new whirlpool! It is also larger than the old one which I didn't feel we needed but quickly found I was able to dry comforters and duvets just as fast without wrinkles. So I am now budgeting to purchase a new washer as well!!! Very pleased. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Love this new Dryer

We've had this dryer for several weeks and are very happy with it. I wanted a reliable dryer without lots of bells and whistles. Just a regular dryer that actually got my clothes dry. My previous dryer took three times as long as my original dryer and I was forever hanging clothes in the basement to finish drying. Love it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I just got the dryer and it is amazing!!! It is soooo quiet , and dries the clothes very fast on the automatic setting!! It should save on the electric bill. The employees at home depot were very helpful !!

Fair Price and a No-Complaint product

We had a Whirlpool LP gas dryer of nearly 30 years when it went "belly-up," so we bought another Whirlpool, (this time an 'electric' dryer) a couple of months ago. All I had to do was plug it in, and attach the vent, since our house was already setup for an electric dryer. It does a great job and very adequate for our needs.  Gets the job done

I helped my dad pick out a washer and dryer that was within a reasonable budget for him and this was it. He didn't need all the bells and whistles of a fancy washer/dryer, just the basics to get his limited laundry done each week. So far it is working just fine and we have no complaints. This model dryer along with the washer that is its companion is great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Does the job for us

We bought this about a month ago. Needed to replace a dryer that had lots of computerized features/choices. At our age we could not justify one with all of those bels and whistles at the prices. We knew Whirlpool was a well know and respected name in appliances, so we chose this one. If and when we need to replace our washer we will most likely buy a Whirlpool.  Great Buy!

I had been shopping for a new dryer as the old one was making a terrible noise, as is expected after 16 yrs. I found this Whirlpool dryer and glad I did. I brought it home, plugged it in and have never looked back. It's been working great and gives me control to dry my clothes efficiently while helping them last longer by choosing the best temperature with which to dry them. Guys were prompt delivering dryer in a major New England storm. They arrived when they said they would and explained all the features of the dryer.Runs great the drum is much bigger than the other one I had.Overall pleased with the whole transaction.

 QUALITY AFFORDABLE DRYER

We recently purchased this dryer to match our Whirlpool washer and could not be happier with the purchase! It is your basic type dryer with quite a few different functions and easy to understand. We also like the buzzer you can easily turn on or off to let you know when the drying cycle is done! For the price and quality of whirlpool product it's hard to look at anything else.  Does a great job

Have only had this Dryer about two weeks. So far I am well pleased. Has very convenient features and is a breeze to use. It does an excellent job of clothes drying. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Very spacious and easy to see into. It dries big loads quickly. I haven't had to use the max time setting yet, nor have I used high heat yet. It can dry comforters in 60 minutes on medium heat.

We've only had it for a couple of weeks, but so far so good. It's big and dries well. It also looks very nice with kind of a pearlescent sheen. I'd recommend it based upon my experience so far.

 Love It

Great dryer for a great price. Who needs all the bells and whistles to get the clothes dry? Even when the washer doesn't seem to wring the clothes out all the way, this dryer efficiently drys the clothes even on low setting. The only con I have found, I don't like the lint vent that you clean on the top of the dryer. I find that the top of my dryer is always covered in lint dust. The Whirlpool 7.0 cu. ft. dryer is amazing, dries the clothes much faster than my old model, I am very pleased with the results.

 Great Dryer

I bought this dryer just over a week ago. So far, I've been very impressed with the amount of time it takes to dry a load of clothes. I also love the Wrinkle Shield feature that periodically tosses the clothes for up to 90 minutes, once the cycle is complete to keep them from wrinkling. The settings are comprehensive. I wanted a dryer that just dries clothes and got so much more! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Great features, easy to use

Whirlpool makes the best appliances. Never disappointed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Very Pleased

I am very please so far with my new dryer by Whirlpool. The drum size is big enough for large comforter with what seem to be less drying time. I know my clothes are appearing less wrinkled which mean less ironing time for me; some do not even need touch up ironing. I had bought a Whirlpool washer a few years back and was pleased, so that is why I went with the dryer that seems to match very well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Excellent dryer & Excellet price

We bought this dryer when our old whirlpool wouldn't heat. We had replaced all the parts through the years and finally the timer went out which would have been more expensive to replace in our 15 year old dryer. We bought the same dryer, just a newer model. While I'd like to have have all the bells and whistles we couldn't justify paying over $1000 for a dryer. This dryer does the job and does it well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Dries Quickly

This was part of my New Home package from the builder. I am satisfied with the dryer, I like that it reminds me that I have clothes ready to take out and it will fluff them a few times and sound out a few times for me to get the clothes. It has an Energy Preferred setting so I feel that it is saving me on my electric bill. The clothes are warm not hot when it is time to take them out, I like this feature. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 What a deal!

We investigated several dryers after we got tired of the noise of our previous one. We were concerned about the negatives on all we looked at, so simply decided by features and value. We've had it for a month now, with frequent usage (our daughter is home from college for the holidays), and we love it. It has performed wonderfully. True, it's only been a month, but we've seen no sign of any problems at all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Nice updated features

I bought this to replace my older Whirlpool dryer that was 14 years old, if I get 14 years out of this one it will be a good investment, the old one still worked fine but had gotten too noisy, I replaced the roller guides and belt along with the idler pulley for 40 bucks and it was still too loud, I was told that it would be another 300 to replace the drum and seals on both ends so I broke down and bought a new one. Glad I did, not only is it quieter but it holds more and dries it faster. It has more settings as well, the power savings should be another plus, the wife is happy too so it is a winner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Love it

I bought this to replace my more expensive Samsung dryer and I couldn't be happier. The dryer space is huge and I can dry my king size comforters and sleeping bags in it without the blankets getting all twisted up. What's more, they all dry in one pass, unlike the 3 passes I usually had to take with my old dryer. The controls are simpler, like what I had growing up in the '90s, but for me, that isn't a con, it's a huge pro. The only negative for me is that it runs a little hot, even when it's set on 'low'. It does have a 'no heat' cycle, so there's that.

 Love this dryer

I bought this dryer just over a month ago - one of those quicky purchases because the old dryer died suddenly. Am so happy with this machine. It is quiet, holds large amounts of clothing, dries clothing quickly and is easy to load and unload. My old dryer had a door that swung down and it was somewhat difficult to unload. This machine's door opens to the side and is out of the way when loading and unloading. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Love Whirlpool !!!

When we bought our new home we purchased all Whirlpool Appliances and have NEVER regretted it. Recently, after 12 years of great service, our dryer needed work. We decided to replace it. Our Son's dryer had also gone out. My Husband checked the "old" dryer and all that was wrong was the heating element. Now, for less than $25.00 we are able to get our Son and his Fiance a dryer too !! This Family loves Whirlpool 🙂 🙂 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Large capacity dryer; does the job and is reasonably priced

Purchased 3 weeks ago and so far we are very satisfied with the purchase. The dryer is simple to use, easily handles large loads and the Energy Preferred cycle does a nice job adjusting the time to shut off when the cloths are dry. Has a large dryer screen to catch the lint and we clean it after every load to more efficiently dry the cloths. Dyer is reasonable priced and has all the features we need to dry cloths. Much quieter than our old Maytag. Hoping the dryer is as reliable as our last Maytag dryer that gave us 16+ years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Everything dries perfectly!!

We've had this dryer for almost 2 weeks and we are thrilled to have it! Before this dryer we would hang everything up and had to wait for hours until it dried. But with our new dryer, we don't wait more than 50 minutes. It's great! We're all so excited about this! It has 14 different cycles. Our favorite is energy preferred because we live in a community where saving energy is preferred and this dryer helps us do just that. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Sometimes Simpler is Just Better

We finally said goodbye to our dryer of 18 years (Another Whirlpool) It would have been more to repair than buy this one. This Dryer is just a workhorse. It doesn't have a ton of fancy bells and whistles, but that's okay! It just works. Not the quietest we've ever (not) heard but not too bad. My wife likes it and honestly, that's all that counts. Drys FAST which makes it more efficient and she loves the cool down feature. Buy this one with confidence! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We've had this dryer for almost a month. It is working great, and I am pleased with the price we paid on sale. It is a great size, I have been able to dry my king size comforters with no problems. That is how large it is. I've had to learn the setting features because at first I wasn't getting the clothes to dry completely. It has a timed dry feature as well as a sense dry. It also has low, med, and high heat feature. All work well with my adjustments. Ive also used the fluff feature and it works great for my bathroom rugs. I would recommend this product.

 Traditional design

Let me start by saying my wife and I work with computers every day but when it came to buying a new washer and drier set we looked for something simple and traditional...This dryer is the match to the washing machine we purchased...there is some automation but we really like this machine, it works like it is supposed to and it does a good job and we're on this Whirlpool appliance kick at our house...the last item to acquire is a stove top...this product brand has served us well so for [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Dependable quality

I bought this dryer sight unseen. Online. I trust Whirlpool that much. My old dryer was a Whirlpool and had just died. I called around for service and everyone told me it was too old! The only things I don't like are my fault. The interior is not lit. I should have caught that. And the tub sits very low. I can buy a pedestal for it. Again if I had looked at it in person I would have noticed. It was a few days before Christmas and I just could not make myself go out! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Love this dryer

I have had this dryer for over a month now and I love it. I may choose a timed cycle or for clothes that may wrinkle if not taken out at the end of the drying cycle, I choose the Wrinkle Shield cycle. This cycle allows the clothes to be fluffed periodically off until I can take the clothes out. I looked at some dryers that had more features than my car but in the end I chose "simple". I love the large door opening as well. So glad I chose this model. Money well worth the spend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Great dryer for the price

I bought this approx 6 months ago. Works great - pretty much the same as my previous Whirlpool - features are the same with the standard cycles. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the overall "feel" of the dryer - the construction of it, if you will, seems cheaply made. I can barely touch the top of the dryer and it 'pops' or dents in, then of course pops right back. Not an overall big deal but just makes me think it is cheaply put together. Otherwise, very satisfied. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Getting the Job Done

Needed to replace my forty year old dryer (yes, it lasted that long) and wanted a good basic dryer without too many bells and whistles. This dryer is doing a good job so far. Clothes are getting dry with a minimum of drying time on low, medium or high. Don't like the lint trap as well as my other dryer's, which had one located in the door. However, I do like the uncomplicated controls and clean lines of the new one. Also, it fits well in my somewhat limited space. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This dryer could benefit from am internal light. A bottom hinge for the door would also be an improvement. Otherwise, it has all the basic covered at a reasonable price. It supports thermostatic shutoff so the dryer stops when the clothes are dry, saving energy and wear and tear on the dryer.

So far so good. If I get 14 years out of this one like the last one I had (very similar model) I'll be a happy guy. Easy to move, install, operate. It just costs a lot more after 14 years! Only concern is the door feels a little less sturdy than previous model. Hope it holds up.

 Very Happy!

We have had the set for about a week. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles, but we wanted something good and reliable. I believe we have found just that! From kids clothes to sheets and towels, no issues and works like a charm! It's a little loud, but that's not too much of an issue for us. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great super size heavy duty dryer

I bought this dryer after my Kenmore dryer of 30 years finally quit! I know Kenmore and Whirpool are basically the same company! So I went to My locally appliance store and after look at style, size, price, and features we went with Whirlpool dryer! We are very happy with the size, quality, and quietness of the machine! Customer for life! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not Fancy but also not pricey!

This is a nice, functional dryer. Exactly what I wanted. It doesn't have dozen's of different settings, it doesn't steam, but it does have all settings one needs to dry clothes! The price was very reasonable compared to the price of many other machines I looked at (including the mate to my washer). Suits my needs and my pocketbook perfectly! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Nice large tub. Heat control seems to keep the clothes from over drying and I have noticed the clothes come out softer than my old dryer. I like the fact that there is a finished buzzer that you can turn 'on' or 'off'. However, the buzzer is quite loud. I wish the buzzer would go off 5 minutes before the cycle is done and the final one when the load is complete. One negative drawback about the dryer - I do not care for the lint holder design. I wonder if eventually, the lint mesh will not fit properly in it's holder due to the amount of times you have to pull in and out.

 Adequate dryer

I'm not sure how it could get better really, it does what it's supposed to do. The only complaint I have is minor and that is the door that came on mine is a bit warped and does not sit flush with the frame when closed. It latches into place, but on the bottom edge of the handle side it pops out from the side and I can slide my finger in the gap. I tried adjusting it and in the process realized it was actually warped. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Simple (which is good) and effective

This dryer replaced a Whirlpool model which served for nearly 20 years, which is a good recommendation. The new dryer cleans quicker and quieter than the one it replaced. I will point out that some of the hardware of this new dryer are rather flimsy, such as the door lock mechanism and the pullout lint filter. I hope they don't cause problems. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Ok

Like this dryer ok but had a older dryer and it dried clothes faster. This one I have to start over to get clothes dry. The cool down feature runs way too long and I would love to be able to set where I could use or not use. Other than that it seems to work fine. It is hard to beat my old dryer which lasted 44 years. All newer appliances do not work as well as the old ones even with all the bells and whistles. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Good Buy for the Price

I don't have any major issues with the dryer. It seems to do a good job drying the clothes. It takes longer that my many year old previous Whirlpool dryer but that maybe because the clothes from the washer spin cycle don't seem as dry as those from my old washer. The wrinkle shield will tumble the clothes for a while if they are not removed shortly after the buzzer goes off. This is good but the old Whirlpool dryer that I had would continue to tumble the clothes for 15 min and buzz every 5 minutes which created less wrinkles if I could not get to it right away. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Just as advertised

I bought this dryer just two weeks ago. So far I am very pleased. I would possibly rate it higher had I had it longer but since I have only had it these two weeks and have not used but only a few times I can not honestly rate it higher. I can say I have not had any problems at all and all functions have worked as advertised. Very happy so far!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 works fine

Basic Dryer. Only thing I have noticed is the laundry doesn't dry unless I set it to very dry. I like the inside of pockets to be dry as well as the outside of clothes, so it needs to dry the full time in order to achieve that. I don't take time to separate my loads by how heavy the clothes are - that might help. (jeans in one load, shirts in another, etc...) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

didn't like it not having light inside drum. other then that nice dryer.

didn't like it not having light inside drum. other then that nice dryer.

 Works Great

I've had the dryer now for close to 2 months and it has worked great, drying clothes quicker than my previous dryer, even at the medium setting. My only complaint has been a clear piece of tape on the top of the machine with writing on it that said to remove all packing tape. When I tried to remove it, it started to also peel off some of the paint from the instrument panel. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Quality Dryer

I just bought this dryer last week and haven't had the opportunity to use it much. It seems nice so far and I like the wrinkle shield feature. My last Whirlpool dryer lasted 22 years and I hope this one also lasts that long. The one drawback is there is no timed dry for 10 minutes. The shortest timed dry you can do is 20 minutes. After that the dryer goes into cool down mode. I always like to take my jeans and delicates out after 10 minutes and hang them up but I am not able to do that with the current dryer. There may be another way to do this and I just may not have figured that out yet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 Good Buy

I like this dryer a lot & it was a great price. The auto dry doesn't work very well with large, heavier loads though.

 Dryer review

Dryer has been working fine, after six loads. Hook-up hose was not brought on delivery Also, delivery personnel did not haul old one away (had just assumed they would). We had to return to store and purchase the hook-up (given a discount). We were told this procedure was "easy" but asked an electrician already scheduled for another task later in week, to do this. It was not easy for him. We paid him extra to haul old away. And he is a pro! So, dryer fine thus far but getting from store to operational not so fine.

Works well. Has a funny smell when it runs. No interior light.

 Does the Job

Lots of room inside the drum. Works fine but the cycle knob is hard to turn. The lint trap was hard to reinstall as it slides in from the top and has a curve to it. It wanted to "stick" and I had to push the trap itself mid-way to get it to go in. After applying a very small amount of silicon grease to the lint trap sides, it went in much better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 OK washer

Washes oK but very loud. Do not like that I cannot adjust water level and that water drains when the lid is raised. Really disappointed in how this one functions. Water level makes a loud notice when adjusting. Also, agitator makes a loud noise when on but can't check when moving because water drains out. Was told this was normal for this washer. Whirlpool should go back to their old design features. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 dries properly

Dryer installed on March 7th, and it does a proper job of drying whatever I have put in. However, when I try to open the door to insert the wet clothing, the whole machine moves forward. I have to hold the machine back with my left hand and open the door with my right. Because of this, I think of it as slimsy. My previous Whirlpool dryer was more sturdy, so what has happened in the time from when I bought #1 to buying #2. I wrote that I would recommend it, but I would also warn whomever about the door situation. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Our GE dryer went out and we needed a replacement fast. Bought this online because there was a sale, the Whirlpool brand and because of the 4 1/2 star rating. Should have gone to the store and checked it out before buying. To start with the dryer just feels cheaply made compared to our old GE. Our first clue to this was the door which is so flimsy you can tell how poorly it is made when you open and close it. The drying of the machine also leaves much to be desired. The automatic dry doesn't work well at all. We will put the setting to "Very Dry" and the temperature to dry and the clothes will still be somewhat damp when the dryer stops. What I also find strange is that I will open the dryer right after it stops and it doesn't feel warm at all inside like you would normally expect. Also the buzzer that is on this dryer is annoying. I like to hear when the dryer stops but this buzzer sounds like one of those cheap practical joke hand buzzers. This is definitely one of those instances where you get what you pay for! Yes, we saved some money but the quality of this machine is not great. Had we gone to the store and looked at this dryer, I really doubt we would have ended up buying this machine. Lesson learned, we will stick with this machine for a few years but I'm sure we will end up getting something of better quality before too long.

 Disappointed

This dryer does get the clothes dry . . eventually. Every single load needs the High" heat setting and it takes almost 2 separate 70 minutes cycles to get them completely dry. These are not excessive large or heavy loads, either. Sure wish I had my old Kenmore dryer back. It dried the clothes in 40 minutes or less at medium heat setting. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

 I hate this dryer!

First of all I got this because I had the matching washer already, and I LOVE the huge capacity and wanted the same capacity dryer. It would be awesome if the clothes came out dry! I'm having to dry multiple times and stuff comes out damp. Also the lint trap is a stupid design - the friction from pulling it out makes lint fly around. Defeats the purpose of trapping it in the first place! Considering returning this which is a ginormous pain in the rear. So disappointed.

 the dryer wouldn't dry

we received the dryer and it took 2-3 cycles to dry clothing. called whirlpool and they said they'd send out the "test kit". 4-5 days later received the "test kit" (via snail mail, and it still was not working. they said they'd send out a service person...in 1 wk.. long story short, item returned, new dryer installed and guess what? it works!!! i would of kept and had this new dryer repaired but w/ a full house and no dryer and after waiting 2wks, we were done. i'm sure they make great products, but we got the lemon. what was so frustrating to me was the nonchalance of the company. you spend $$$ for an item and it doesn't work, they say wait 2wks to have a service person come out, just not acceptable. i asked to be compensated for having to go to a laundry mat...ummm, no. thank goodness for home depot, they went above and beyond for us, whirlpool, not so much.

This dryer would not dry a load of clothes in one cycle. It didn't matter if it was a couple shirts with lightweight pants or a load of towels, it took 2 cycles to dry a load. We ended up sending it back for a dryer by GE which we are very satisfied with.

Purchased this dryer February 2016 and clothes take forever to dry. Literally, we need to start the dryer about 3x before items are dried.

 Not worth a dime

Not even 2 yrs old and it is already broken. Run away from this product.

 very disappointed

I waited a long time to purchase a dryer. I did LOTS of research, and concluded that this model was the best value for my money. It was delivered in July, but we did not have the chance to hook it up until December. It does not work! There is NO HEAT, plus the timer cycle does not work. I am now waiting for warranty service .... the repair people are scheduled for Jan 13th. I am VERY UNHAPPY as I have always had good experience with Whirlpool appliances. It is still sitting in my garage still in the box it came in unopened because my daughter inlaw signed for it not knowing what i ordered. I aparently ordered a electric dryer in error and your company would not take it back, they told me to put it on Craigs list. needless to say ordered a gas dryer else where. I have been a Home Depot loyal customer for many but now i am gone.

 Don't waste your money!

Awful dryer! This dryer takes a minimum of 2 cycles to dry an average size load! I usually end up having to do 2 12. Very frustrating. Nothing like waiting 2-3 hours for your laundry to dry!

This product came with no power cord. Maybe I missed something and it was an extra charge to have the cord with it, I don't know. If that's the case this gets one star because that is the most anti-consumer behavior I have heard all week (Impressive, because there is no shortage of it these days). Now I will be forced to call in an electrician to help me and incur yet *another* charge for this project. Offer a fully assembled product to your customers any maybe you will earn more than a single paltry star.
