Cross Country provides home service and home warranty plans through its partners across the US. This means that although they may support some of their customers, much of the services that they provide come from outside companies. Also, in some areas Sears may sell this home warranty service plan rather than their own. Overall, there are mixed reviews from customers concerning Cross Country.
Cross Country sells a variety of home warranty and home service products through other partners on the backend (such as TotalProtect Home Warranty for home owners). Here are additional company details:
|Headquarters||Fort Lauderdale, FL|

Cross Country Home Services provides home owners with home warranty services through Total Protect. Although some of the support can be done through Cross Country, the services themselves come from Total Protect. Here are the details:
|Combo Plan||Everything in the Appliance and Systems plan + homeowners insurance deductible reimburesement up to $500.|
Exclusions / Limitations:
Cross Country has a simple claim submission tool that makes it easy to submit a claim and there are other folks that call in. For those that call in, there are some that have had long hold times at times.
This is an area where some folks have reported having a poor experience. There are many that have been sold Cross Country service through Sears and other retailers. One of the issues that is commonly reported by them is that what is being sold in terms of coverage does not match up with the realities of the contract. In getting repair people out to location, most describe satisfactory first experiences, but if there is a requirement for a replacement part, there are reviewers that described waiting exorbitant amounts of time for parts to come in and sometimes not receiving them at all.
Cross Country vs. American Home Shield
Although Cross Country's plans are similar in layout to American Home Shield in that you can pick either appliances, systems, or a combo plan, American Home Shield provides the option to create a custom plan where you can choose a variety of systems and appliances that fit you best. Additionally, American Home Shield gets some of the highest ratings in terms of service and repairs.
Cross Country vs. Choice Home Warranty
Choice has more combo plans if you are looking for something that is not purely systems or appliance driven. Because of that, there are more low priced options and Choice tends to be a more price conscious option. Additionally, customers report having a better experience with Choice for repairs and replacements.
Cross Country vs. First American
First American is a larger insurance provider so if you already have First American services, it may make sense for you to bundle. They don't get as great of reviews for support and repairs and American Home Shield and Choice, but much better than Cross Country, which is plagued with more negative feedback from customers.
