Security & Monitoring Quality

The equipment offered by XFINITY is well-rated overall and has few reports of malfunctions. Additionally, their mobile app is well rated by most customers, which is a nice win for the overall usability of the system. There are some who had issues with malfunctioning equipment that found it difficult to get responses that resolve their issues from customer service reps.

One the monitoring side of things, most found that the XFINITY Home worked as expected most of the time. There are those that had issues with connectivity occasionally and in cases of lost connectivity over cable and cellular back-up, the monitoring system would go down. If you already have XFINITY services for cable and broadband Internet, make sure to analyze your connection before buying XFINITY Home. If you live in an area where your cable and Internet tend to malfunction and don't have good cellular connections, this may affect your XFINITY Home service too.
