I have been on the fence about getting a security system
I have been on the fence about getting a security system for the past year or so, but recently there have been incidents around the neighborhood that got me off the fence. So, for the past two months I have been in contact with a sales representative, Navid at Guardme. I'm the type of person who does constant research and asks questions because I want to make sure that the product I'm purchasing isn't going to make me regret my decisions and Navid has been nothing but helpful. He seems very knowledgeable about the products and wasn't too pushy when it came to making me buy. When purchasing a security system, it's an investment and you need time to mull things over. Eventually I decided to go with the Z-wave set up because of the possibilities it gives me, and I'm kind of a tech geek. I mean, who can turn down the ability to turn your lights off and on from your phone while your on your way to work?
So after making the purchase I scheduled a date a couple of days out to get the installation done. I received two touch screen panels which was kinda cool and one Z-wave socket to get me started. I also purchased one indoor and two outdoor cameras. All in all the whole installation process took about 4 hours between the guy going up on the roof and running wires through my basement and attic. Everything is out of sight, and the installer even cleaned up after himself which doesn't happen very often (VERIZON FIOS GUY!)
It's been a weekend and a couple of days with the system and I can say that I really love it! The coolest thing is that I can see everything that is going on in the living room and take pictures ALL FROM MY PHONE. I'm looking to purchase some more Z-wave stuff and maybe add a camera to my backyard, so I'll probably be reaching out to Navid again since he gave me his direct line and said call for anything. I definitely can recommend these guys to anyone and if you're a techy like me, go with the Z-wave. It lets you do some really cool stuff with your phone

Yes they are a national company that uses local contractors. SO WHAT! The company is on their game. Only complaint and it is a compliment....LOTS OF FOLLOW UP CALLS and they TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS. What more can one ask? The back end is alarm.com, which I also love as they are constantly upgrading their software as well as add on items that can be controlled via the app.

I copied my review from Google so if you read it there its the same thing here - all good.
Guardme first did a really nice sales job - great follow up emails and kept my attention, and when I finally did buy (and I shopped around), based on their reputation online and my sales guy (Kevin Colleymore) - I got a great deal and more importantly so far excellent follow on service.
I had a couple hiccups hooking up some z-wave home automation and also when something from my old system (they used my mostly hardwired house) didn't work right - they just GAVE me new wireless versions (one window sensor and a motion sensor) - great service!
I tend to hate the customer service everywhere these days and I am going out of my way to say nice things about GuardMe as i had a really great experience.
Thanks Guardme.
Nobody wants to sign a long term contract with a provider
Nobody wants to sign a long term contract with a provider and then realize they are stuck with a company that doesn't care once the $ is their bank.
Doesn't seem to be the case with guardme as far as I can tell.
After some google diving, I chose guardme for a security system for a business.
I was connected to Navid on the phone to assist me. He was extremely patient and clear about what I would be receiving. He threw in extras that sealed the deal.
I needed to get the installation done asap and he made sure to make that happen. It was the friday before labor day on monday, but he did not rush me as many would do, eager to start their long weekend.
Installation guy came on time the following week and was courteous and professional. I wish I could remember his name!
A few weeks later I had issues signing into the website and when I called Navid he answered with my name (I guess caller id?) and had my problem resolved immediately.
Honeslty it is sooooo hard to find companies that provide efficient service and genuine care and I believe guardme is one that does.
Price is competitive if not better and the hardware I received appear modern and dependable.
Very happy thus far!!
Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this company
Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this company. They are a national company that uses local sub-contractor installers, who in our case did sub-par work on the install....took 3 visits to get alarm functional and there are still items to be done to clean up the installation, yet all we get from Anthony Porto, who is in the Operations Department back in NJ is a bunch of rhetoric, saying he'll talk to someone and get back to us, which doesn't happen. I've complained to the salesman who we dealt with in buying the system, Jason Roberts....and his response is always the same, "I am at a loss. I have forwarded this chain of emails to our VP, second only to the owner."....yet nothing happens. Below is the email I sent to Jason and Anthony on August 28th:

Gentlemen,
I'm at the ultimate point of frustration with your company and don't know what to do next....so I'm reaching out to ask that my concerns be escalated to someone above Anthony, because while he seems like a nice enough person, none of my concerns have been remedied working through him. Further to that, I communicated to Anthony exhaustively 2 weeks ago that I wanted to get an installer out to get things buttoned up that week while I was in Boise where this investment property is located. The results? No installer was scheduled or came by to address my concerns...no yard sign was delivered as promised....I got no follow-up on why I got a voicemail about "possibly" dispatching the police for an alarm event at the house....and no follow-up from the supposed meeting with Monitronics reps, nor any follow-up from Anthony when he said he would look into why the remote activity I'm seeing on Alarm.com isn't matching up with actual events at the home. Instead I get 2-3 line cryptic email responses from Anthony that are clearly just an attempt to check the box of replying and then he moves on to what are apparently other, more important issues. As such, I'm respectfully requesting that my concerns be escalated to someone that will engage and resolve our issues/concerns.
Here's where we stand right now:
1. I have no yard sign, or window stickers for our home.
2. I have at least 2 window sensors that were applied in a half ass manner (on brand new windows, which is what makes them stand out) and would like them straightened out and the window casings cleaned up from the sloppy glue residue all over them.
3. I paid $30 for an external siren PLUS an additional $30 for an external siren power supply PLUS an additional $11.01 for an external siren transformer....so a total of $71.01 for some cheap plastic box that won't withstand one winter in Boise. @Jason- when I said I wanted an external siren, I was referring to one that goes on the outside of the home, such that neighbors can hear when our alarm goes off. Never did I imagine I'd be paying $70 for a plastic box with a 6' power supply cord that is only worthy of plugging into an outlet inside the garage. Anthony indicated in his last cryptic note that the panel doesn't have enough power to push "a more out"....which I think was intended to mean that the included alarm panel can't provide enough power for a true external siren...but that should have been disclosed up front.
4. I'd like to know why the activity that I discussed and sent detailed screen shots to Anthony don't reflect actual activity in the home?
5. I'd like to know why I got the voicemail that I did from Monitronics monitoring service after an alarm activation....caused by a poor installation of 1 of our motion sensors, stating that the police "may" be dispatched?
I anxiously await a contact from someone other than Anthony, so that we can get these concerns addressed.
Respectfully submitted,
Chip
And after getting no response to that August 28th email, I sent the below email to the owner on September 14th....and have yet to hear anything from him either:

Subject: Fwd: Alarm completion
Craig,
FYI the below email trail. As you can see, I've been less than impressed with your company's performance In getting our Boise investment property's alarm system installed to our level of expectation.
This latest email that I just sent to Jason Roberts was returned to me as undeliverable, so I can only assume he has left the company, which only adds to my angst. Please know that I'm not a novice to how alarm system installs are supposed to work, as we have 4 systems currently operating at various business and residential properties in Northern California.
Also note that I wasn't installing your standard entry level freebie system, instead spec'ing out a featured system that met our needs for this property...and willing to pay for the features we wanted.
I eagerly await some immediate resolution to my concerns, or an appointment to remove your equipment and full refund issued.
Respectfully,
Chip
I have called numerous times for a repair & no one has come out
I have called numerous times for a repair & no one has come out. My alarm is not working properly and I am getting no response when I call for help. This is ridiculous & not professional. I am paid thru May of 2017 so they have my $, but not doing a repair?
