Very easy to install, understand and operate. System works like a charm. Other comments regarding SIM card aren't accurate reviews. The SIM card is virtually not needed to arm or disarm, especially when wireless remotes are sent with the Total Security System. The SIM card is only really needed when the alarm is triggered and the panel makes a call. All text (SMS) alerts can be shut off, so that it won't waste minutes. Well done FSS.
Great place to buy a security system. Looked and looked at different systems over the internet and finally found a affordable and reliable system. Customer service was so kind helping me set my system up and answer all my questions. Defiantly purchase here.
Fortress Security is absolutely amazing, I am extremely happy with my Total Security Wi-Fi System! I got a free SIM card installed and it is way cheaper then I could have gotten from any cellular provider. I had a programming question and called customer service and they went above and beyond! It is rare to be able to contact customer service representatives now days that speak English and are actually helpful. I highly recommend their products and honestly for the price you can't beat it! The one star reviews are clearly unwarranted!!
Could not be happier with my Wi-Fi system. Easy to set up and gives my family peace of mind and keeps the riff raff out. I thought the costumer service was great, its nice talking to a real person in the US. Maybe @realdonaldtrump will buy one for hus new house, its fantastic
The customer service is the best...Had a small problem, a call later, and 3 days, i had what I needed in my hand. The book sorta sucks, but I got thru it with the quick responses from online help. Jack has the patience of a saint..the system is working well. I will buy the camera soon.. Great kit! I got the ANI wifi setup,not a bit of problem linking up, and i get an immediate text when the alarm is triggered.
SIM card issue. Love the system! Only downfall for the system is you only get 200 minutes for the entire 3 month period. If you use all those minutes within that 90 days you will get charged automatically, so make sure you cancel the automatic renewal service for the SIM card services otherwise you will get charged. They should have unlimited text and call for 25 a month plus monitoring like Simplisafe. I heard monitoring is becoming available shorty though.
TThis is one of the better DIY systems. The set up using their Quick Start Guide makes it easy to install. It allows you to get system installed and then if you want to get deeper into the programming you can take your time using the book that is supplied. The pet motion sensors are great and being able to set the system not using the motion sensor while your home is fantastic. FYI when testing the interior horn put on ear muffs because it is loud which is not a knock because it should be loud.
I placed an order on the morning of 11/12. I was delighted when I was informed that my package was picked up by the Post Office on 11/13 via Priority Mail. The problem is that there were never any updates to the status of my package moving through the USPS system. Replies from Fortress insist that the package left on 11/13. It is now 11/20 and still no package. A call starting a USPS investigation leans toward the package never leaving Fortress to date. Beware overpromise/underdeliver with Fortress. Here is my latest note to them: This is my daily request to check on the status of my order. It is now one week since the package was picked up via Priority Mail and still no product has been delivered to me. Thank you.
Good system. Range better than we thought it would be. If don't have pet sensors... Put motion at least 4ft up and shouldn't have a problem.

Really wanted to give this company a try after reading some good reviews. I purchased the system at the beginning of January, and to this day, it is still not functional. First, the system was shipped without a power supply...yeah really! After waiting about a week for that, I found that it would not connect to my wifi using their guide. After support basically mirrored the same instructions each time I contact them, I took it upon myself to remove all wifi security, and it finally connected. They can provide no explanation for this. The 3rd problem, which started around the same time, was that SMS messages could not be sent/received from the panel. Fortress blamed my cell carrier, sim card, everything else. The SIM tested fine in other devices, but I spent the money to get replacement SIM from my carrier. Again, worked in every device but this panel. Still blaming my carrier and SIM, I agreed to activate one of their SIMS (of course at an additional cost to me) and give that a try. They provided a promo code to waive the activation fee, which the site rejected. During checkout, the $7.99 monthly fee turned into a $15.69 - There's a lot to be said for ease of use of a company's products, support, and website. So far, Fortress has none of these. Really wanted this product to work. Too bad. Not sure what is next for me
I made an order on october 15th and never was delivered. I call several times and wrote mails, but they never answered. I want to cancel the order and they never answered. I recommend to everybody not buying anything to them!
SIM card, Read the Terms of Agreement The SIM card works fine on the ATT network. My reason for a one star rating is the billing. True I did not read the Terms and Agreement. (like everyone else) I believe what the team told me. The prepay rate is $7.00 per month for a 90 day term. Not bad right? Here is the kicker you only get 200 minutes for 90 days. Each Text notification counts as a minute. Once you used up your 200 minutes it automatically renews at $23.97. So if you arm and disarm once a day 2 * 90 =180 minutes that leaves you with 20 minutes to spare. With me and my son living active lifestyles we burnt through the 200 minutes in 19 days and I have the WIFI controller, go figure that out. I have a very reliable WIFI service so that is not it. I was told by Support that the WIFI controller auto selects the best network for transmission of the Text message. To my knowledge there is no SIM usage counter to watch your minute usage. They sent out an e mail notice of renewal at 4:01:55 then debit my credit card at 4:01:56. Beware.
I purchased a security system from this business 6 months ago and it has been broken longer than it has worked. When I first started having problems I asked to return the unit and they would not take it back. They sent me a few new pieces of equipment to try and it worked for a few months and then... stopped working again about a month ago. I contacted them again and they promised to send me 5 new sensors with "updated battery capability" and I only received one instead of 5. I contacted them again and they sent out 4 more. Only 3 of the 4 worked. I contacted them again and they claimed to be sending one more. I have also spent over 15.00 in batteries when they sensors are supposed to come with working batteries. The customer service agent that has been assigned to my case wrote a sarcastic remark to me when I expressed to him how unacceptable this has been. They wont take the horrible unit back which offers my home no security at this point nor have they offered any kind of discount for forcing me to keep it.
Worst customer service. Will be the last time I purchase with this company. I purchased a unit and spent a lot of money on accessories. One of the company representatives talked me into upgrading to a "better" system. I found out if I would have stuck to my original system I could have upgraded my panel and received a trade in discount, now I'm out an entire system! By far one of the most difficult frustrating processes I've dealt with. Please take it from me and find a more reputable dealer either better customer care. I should add... it's almost like the system I got persuaded into exchanging for doesn't even exist. No information from the website, no product replacement pieces. They literally had me exchange my product for JUNK!
Worst customer service ever. My system stopped working so I found the business card for Fortress, left voice mail and emails to no avail. I have yet to hear from Fortress after 2+ weeks. My 84 year old husband has Alheimers Disease so I HAVE to know if he leaves the house. Hard to do with a non-working system and lack of assistance from Fortress. I feel getting this system may have been a huge mistake. If there had been a minus score star I would have used it to show how mad I am. It is poor consolation to know I am not alone in the lack of customer assistance catagory!

I have been using this system for 2 years, work perfectly and customer service is great. Their service can't be beat. If you need to add to your system order the item when it arrives. Go to your desktop program name and add the items to your system. It is just that easy.
I purchased the older system 2.0 in November 2016, we had no problems except the keypad entry was small and not backlit. When the new system 3.0 came out I upgraded to it this January, it is night and day easier to install, the base station tells you by name if there are any open sensors, also the mobile app works ten times faster than the old one. Customer service lacks a lot, messages aren't returned and it takes a long time for someone to answer, once answered I was pleased with the help I received.
Excellent and easy installation, runs off battery, recognized by local police dept and 15.99 per month. We have had our system 3 yrs and feel very secure.

They did what they needed to and helped all that they could. When I called they could have been a little nicer and more professional. They were efficient and fast and answered any question that I had. Very professional and not weird. Since it's scary to have someone come into your house I wasn't scared. Pretty good system and monitoring is definitely recommend to others. Very good value. It's great. Would def recommend to others cause I love it so so so much. I really do I feel so freaking safe.
The customer service was great. They are always there when you need them. I would not change them for the world. Any time I ever had a problem they was the first to respond. They was there on time. They were very nice. It took them no time at all to set everything up and I have had no problems at all and that is all. All I can say is that everything about them is great. I have had no problems with anything. I would recommend them to everyone. The value was great. It fitted right into my income. I could not have asked for anything better nor could anyone else. Once I was with them I stayed with them.
I am highly satisfied with the customer service operators. I called a couple times and so far operators were very friendly and eager to help. The setup and installation process was not hard and pretty much guided so I didn't have to worry about any possible problems or issues. It's a pretty user-friendly process, I would say. I am very satisfied with the product monitoring capability. It works just as I thought it's going to be. Have no problems or issues and satisfied with the quality. I do think I got a good value for the price paid. Wouldn't mind to pay less of course, but still seems like the value to price ratio is justified.

Usually when there's something that goes wrong, I can always rely on their customer service to be able to help me through it all! No matter what the problem is, they ALWAYS try their best to help me fix it. Installation was fast and easy! There was definitely no problem setting it up! It's fast and simple and you don't have to worry about installing any wires into your home. The security system is VERY sensitive to change in motion, temperature, air, humidity, light, and it's able to detect anyone that's intruding guaranteed! It's a little pricey but you definitely get what you've bargained for! The price is overall worth it and I'm sure you'll be pleased with how awesome this device is. You'll feel secure!

It's comprehensive but user-friendly. It's totally wireless and still runs without house power. It features live monitoring and can be controlled from your smartphone. Setup was easy. I pay $14.99 per month for live monitoring. It works excellent and provides thorough security coverage. Great value. Well worth the price in comparison to its competitors.
I was pleasantly surprised by their support center. Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. No request went unfulfilled. I would highly recommend this company!! Technician was prompt and pleasant. He was in my house for maybe an hour and then spent as much time as I needed explaining to me how everything worked. Not rushed or rude at all.
