I anticipated the Blackbox being difficult to set up because in my past experience DIY systems haven't been as DIY-friendly as companies claim. I didn't have to connect any of the sensors since they came pre-programmed and even when I bought some additional sensors later, all I had to do was provide the TXID numbers and the reps would take care of the rest. Armorax has really kept the installation process simple and I appreciated the control panel stand and double-sided mounting tape for the sensors that came with the Blackbox. Kept me from having to drill holes in my wall!
I've been using the armorax for 6 months now and it's been great! I initially had some trouble with the setup because a manual wasn't included but the online chat has been very helpful. Since then, I've had a few accidental alarms set off the motion detectors (forgot someone was home), and the response time and call back was very quick. I've also been able to install seperate modules I purchased myself with relative ease! The expandability of the system is great! I installed a fire detector very easily and it did work with a call from the company when my wife was cooking steak and set off the smoke alarm. This false tests have been a great way for me to "test" the system. So I know when something does go wrong, it'll work.

We've been using our Armorax system for the last 12 months since moving into our new home. The DIY setup is really easy and the customer service is instant and excellent (I like the online chat). The system has worked great the entire time and we are now starting to add extra sensors and other home automation items to our system. Highly recommend!
Having researched alarm companies obsessively I found Armorax. Best technology and very simple setup. Ok a lot of companies have that. But what separates Armorax is a sense of old fashioned customer service. The best I have experienced from any type of company in a long time.

Nobody else was as quick as Armorax to update from the older GC2. These guys rolled out the GC3 control panel as part of their Blackbox package the moment it was released! So glad I found these guys.

I have had the system for quite a while now. Setup is easy and the online support is GREAT. They are always there to help. Best of all, the system is very expandable and flexible. My alarm system has since grown from day one to over 50+ sensor & detectors.

I was impressed to receive my system on time during the holiday season when shipping/delivery delays are expected. I wanted to get my system setup before Christmas and I was able to get a hold of someone from Armorax on Christmas Eve who assisted me through the entire process.
Armorax has superior quality equipment for a great price and I got a huge discount for signing an agreement. I'm having a great time expanding my system since they're constantly adding the latest equipment to their store.
Normally when you have some sort of new service put in like cable or internet, it usually takes a while for it all to get setup. But with Armorax it wasn't such a stretch. I got my system 3 days after placing the order and it was all setup within the hour.
Even though the Blackbox is a DIY security system, I really like the fact that Armorax offers professional monitoring along with it's self-monitoring option. A lot of DIY security systems can only be self-monitored, so they're not really professional systems.
I was really pleased with the level of support I received. The agent stayed with me on the phone throughout as I installed my system.

Fairly new and small but that's great for the customers because that means we get extra attention and aren't neglected like at bigger companies where you can't easily get hold of anyone but a bot over the phone.
I'm really liking the app. I've set up so many neat schedules/combinations that I barely ever need to lift a finger to do anything anymore. I can just switch the lights ON/OFF with a single tap on my phone!
Found Armorax by chance through online research and I must say I'm so glad I did! I had read some great reviews on their Blackbox package and how easy it was to use and it's true. It's extremely user-friendly! I was afraid it was going to be complicated.
The GC3 control panel is great and possibly the best panel on the market because it's new and extremely expandable. I was so happy to find that Armorax was offering it as part of the Blackbox otherwise I planned on buying it online at full price. I saved quite a bit.
Best security company on the block! Fairly new but definitely proved itself.
This is by far the simplest DIY security system I've heard off. I didn't even have to program in the sensors. I just called Armorax and they did it for me.

I had no issue installing the equipment and it is indeed cutting edge. The panel is really intuitive and user-friendly. I haven't run into any complications with it yet!
The biggest problem I have with companies is that they never get back to you on time but that isn't the case with Armorax. My emails have always been answered within 24-48 hours which is perfectly acceptable.
The great thing about the unit I got from Armorax is that it's compatible with many products. Other systems limit you to just a few brands.

Consistent service and customer support is very helpful. Have found they have to return calls for technical questions but follow-up is consistent. Easy to find complimentary devices from various vendors. The hardware is easy to integrate into the home and the smart control panel is easy to use. Have not been successful in integrating my Nest thermostats/August Smart Locks into the Armorax system.
The cost of the system without any contract was too high for me so I had no choice but to sign a contract in order to get a discount.
I wish they had shorter term contracts but they only have a 4 year contract or no contract at all. A shorter term contract is good because it gets you the discount on the equipment whereas the no contract option has you paying full price for the equipment. I had no choice but to go with the no contract option and pay the full price since I wasn't willing to sign up for 4 years.
Had some trouble setting up the camera initially but it's fine because they sent me a new one. It was just a little inconvenient to go through the hassle of sending it back and then waiting for the new one but at least return shipping was covered.
The best thing I like about Armorax is their competitive pricing. I did some research and shopping around before I decided. Six months later, they are still the most value for money for the services you get.
I am disappointed with their billing department. Billed thrice for the same purchase. After some calling around and emailing, the issue got fixed.
I like their lifetime price guarantee. As long as I keep them, I pay the 29.00 fee for the comprehensive monitoring including video, home automation and monitoring.
The self-monitoring features are great, I learn something new everyday. There's so much the mobile app lets me do to control the system.
Please do not choose armorax for your home security system. Everything about them reeks illegitimate business. My fiancé and I decided to try them out and we never received the item but were charged 600 dollars. All the representatives give you the run around and they lie. One representative told us that UPS found the package and that they were returning it to Armorax and that once it was returned we get a refund. Yet we had just got off the phone and UPS said that they just finished there investigation and that they could not find it. They also said they had already contacted Armorax and let them know that they couldn't find it. The crazy thing about it is they were going to send me another one for free but once I told them I didn't want to do service with them because their representatives were rude that's when I received a charge on my credit card.
The GC3 control panel doesn't work with WIFi yet. I believe the firmware update comes out in August and the wait isn't such a big deal but I really wish I had access to all the features now.
Unfortunately, despite positive reviews from many other people, I had an abysmal experience with this company, and would not recommend them to anyone. In the interest of disclosure, I spoke with a customer service representative who was helpful, friendly, and was able to budge slightly on their pricing structure to work with me on a contract. That is the sole extent to which I can state that they did anything right. I was told that if I replaced the main panel of the existing security system, virtually all the remaining equipment would have been able to be used. This turned out to not be entirely accurate, but we'll never know the extent of which it was, because of the horrible experience I had with this company. I purchased some equipment from them, including a panel, adapter for the panel, and a doorbell to replace existing equipment. The doorbell was the wrong type. Another technician who will be named later stated that the doorbell I purchased was on "nationwide recall". I looked this up after this experience and could find no such recall. I am relatively certain he was covering for someone's mistake. When all the equipment arrived, replacing the panel was anything but simple as I was told it was going to be. I was replacing an existing installation with hardware from the same manufacturer. It was implied this would be as simple as disconnecting the old panel and inserting the new one for that aspect. Let me assure you that it was not. There was no indicator of what types of tools I would need. I own a fair bit of tools, but I do not own a set of flathead screwdrivers that would have been small enough for this job. The technician I worked with says his name was Jay. Jay is a miserable excuse for a human, and was extremely unprofessional. This is not entirely on Jay. There is exactly zero reason for an end user to do these types of installations. Part of the reason this company offers service at the rate they do is because they do not provide installation for them. In my case, I was replacing a wall-mounted, direct-powered installation. At one point, Jay told me that it would "be okay" for me to pull two live power wires out of the existing installation. Not wanting to electrocute myself, I explained several times that I had zero intention of doing that. We could not overcome this obstacle. Admittedly, I was less than pleased at the time, but Jay continued insisting that I should pull these live power wires straight out of a working, powered installation. While I was trying to explain for the umpteenth time that I was not going to do so, Jay rudely stopped what he was doing and told me that Armorax did not want my business and that they were cancelling the contract. That was the best thing that came of this. However, I had to contact customer service literally every single day from that Saturday to Sunday, to Monday, to Tuesday, and again on that Thursday to get them to send me a prepaid shipping label to return their trash. Jay cancelled the contract I had with Armorax, but issued a threat in it to return the equipment within 7 days or face fees, debt collectors, etc. And this awful company couldn't even be bothered to send a return shipping label. They're a horrible company. I recommend that you go with another organization, because they clearly don't know what they're doing. I think you'd be infinitely better off doing so.

My family and I decided to go with Vivint and we could not be happier, the gentleman that came to the house was very nice and full of knowledge, I read every detail of the agreement and everything matched up to what I was told. They covered all the equipment and we could not feel any more secure having the doorbell camera and the app on the phone!

Vivint is pretty good and I was skeptical. First off, I was approached by a door to door salesman. He was very professional and not pushy in the least. Best of all, he didn't lie to me. I found some bad reviews and brought them to his attention and he acknowledged them and let me know that they were usually people trying to get out of their contract early OR local technicians who are subcontracted. This is exactly what I had read, so I decided to go with the service.
I'm about a year into the service and I love it. The people monitoring have contacted me through the panel in a matter of minutes and I get text messages, emails and phone calls when the alarm goes off. It is impossible for me to miss strange occurrences.
The equipment has held up as well. Nothing has broken.
I integrated my NEST thermostat recently and it works great with their software.
Also, they update their software fairly often, which is a great plus.
Now on to the negatives. They are a little pricey, but you do get a lot of stuff and I find it worth the cost.
The reviews about the local contracted technicians is ABSOLUTELY true. You WILL have a rough time if you need someone to come to your home. It took 5 attempts to get someone to my home for a simple update to the firmware update (which turned into a wall panel replacement). I did not receive a visit, a phone call, a cancellation, NOTHING. It was the most frustrating experience I've ever had.
Like I said, I haven't had any equipment break, just the firmware issue, so hopefully you won't need an onsite technician.

We've had Vivint Security for a year. We had to contact Vivint once because the front door would not lock from app or keypad, the technician walked me through how to change the battery on the door lock quickly & professionally. We've had no issues with equipment, billing, or Service. They were quick to respond the one time our alarm was accidentally set off.
I personally like my alarm system. The ability to use it anywhere and set up custom actions for my convenience is great. The customer service reps that I dealt with were knowledge and helpful.
I replaced my old system with Vivint several months ago. The sales reps were great, informative, and professional. I called a couple of times with questions, and they were courteous and walked me through.Jan. wall mount went blank. Trued to fix over phone. Had to send out a tech. Also camers kept loosing wi fi. Tech said the installer used oldd systems wiring and caused it to lose connection. He ran new wire and fixed it, however. I was charged $49 for your error. Did not appreciate that. Overall satisfied.
Any issue I have had was quickly resolved. Our local support technician is vey prompt and professional.
I have had A Vivent security system for around 6 months. I have had a couple of minor equipment issues with an outdoor camera not connecting and a doorbell camera not working. Both cameras were replaced. I have found that the doorbell camera will stop working when the temperature falls below a certain point. Other than that I have no issues with the company. But their equipment is a little on the sub-par side.
We have been protected by Vivint for close to two years now. We are very happy thus far with the equipment and the customer support. We have, thank goodness never had to test their responsiveness.
Being able to lock/unlock a door remotely has been very useful on a number of occasions. I prefer to sleep in a much cooler room and find it a wonderful thing to be able to turn up the temperature before I crawl out of bed in the morning and be able to turn on the light in a dark room, all from the comfort from my bed.
Their apps are continually more responsive and easier to use. They are always adding more services that are easily added on and do not result in a higher monthly payment.

Young man last summer came by and asked about our neighbors. We provided names of our neighbors. Next door neighbor had mentioned looking into alarm system. Young man kept coming even very late at night to talk to her. System was installed but we did not receive referral fee. Rep from UT called me regarding renewing at current price. Told him about neighbor; looked her up and gave me credit.

The alarm system is easy to activate and disarm with very low maintenance. I do not need an office to go in an visit and Vivint has only been a quick phone call away. We have had vivint for about 4 months now and have had no complaints. They are on top of issues if one should arrive and respond very quickly. My dads house would have burned down if it wasn't for vivint's customer services quick actions.

I've had Vivint services since December 2015. I've been very impressed with installation, customer service, and the service itself. Vivint has been great to talk with over the phone, answer any questions I have, and resolve any problems I've had. Like any new technology, I've had a few problems, but all of them have been 100% resolved by Vivint.
I can only give them one complaint. I wish they called every time the alarm went off, even if it only went for for a few seconds. If I accidentally set my alarm off in the morning, and turn it off within seconds, they don't call. I wish they would. It would make me feel better to know that 100% of my alarms were responded to.

I love the vivint system. It is the most user friendly system I have ever had. My only complaint is they put in a new phone app that does not work as well as the old one. On rainy days, the app won't work outside to open and close the garage door as it is supposed to. That is the time I most want it to work.

I first had Vivint installed in my house, but later moved into an apartment and the system came with me. The system is technologically advanced and so easy to use. The one time I had a problem with the panel, the online technician walked me through the resolution. I have the IPhone app and can control everything by remote.

I have had vivint installed on my home now for a year. This company is amazing. We had a fire right before Christmas time last year and because of vivint the fire damage to our home was very limited. They responded very quickly and cause of their fast actions they saved our home. I would recommend vivint to anyone. They are the best alarm system I have used out of 3 others.

With Vivint, I am sold on door bell camera. So handy and features like auto lock.... As soon as I am out and press the lock..... My home is secured. At night, I don't have to remember to arm my home. At a stipulated time, everything gets locked and armed right away. After i installed doorbell camera, I have never gone to purolator to collect my missed shipment. Because I can talk to them, when they are there for delivery.
We have had our alarm system for almost a year and any issues we had, vivent's customer service has been the best, always going above and beyond and they've always kept their word. I would and I do recommend them.
I have been more than happy with my service. I needed to get my garbage out in a rush one morning and set the alarm off by mistake and deactivated when I re-entered the house. I did not have my phone on me when the attempted to contact me and the police had come to check on us. I was very happy with the response time and glad to know they were doing what they set out to do. Make sure my family and I were ok.

Very satisfied with equipment, installation, and service. I had a smoke detector go off due to my adult son's cooking. The service response was prompt and effective. Notification via app (I was not home) was immediate.
