ADT is one of the most well-known home security companies in the United States. They work with a variety of independent service providers that install and service ADT solutions across the US. In terms of getting the job done, ADT is one of the most trusted solutions and has the largest customer base of any home security company in the US. That said, over the years, newcomers have challenged ADT with upgraded equipment, more smart home features, and competitive pricing. ADT is still the biggest, but innovation is sure to challenge.

Monitoring & Security Quality

Overwhelmingly, both experts and customers agree that ADT protects residences and businesses using their sensors. That said, the monitoring is only as good as the equipment and older ADT systems may need to be upgraded to take advantage of faster response times and protect against system malfunctions. In terms of the quality of equipment that is used by ADT as part of new packages, customers should feel confident that the technology used is leading edge and industry standard.

All this said, we did find a few rare complaints of system faults where alarms did not sound when expected. Make sure to regularly test your system to ensure that it acts as expected.
