The 33'' 24.2 cu. ft. french door refrigerator by LG is energy star qualified and has an extra tall filtered water and ice dispenser, slim ice system to free up space, spill protected tempered glass shelving, and a large bottom freezer area. Overall, this refrigerator is reviewed quite well. The rare complaint is usually about durability.

VERY NICE FRIG after a couple weeks of using. We have a narrow opening of 37" and a wall on left side ,so it was difficult finding a unit that would allow us to fully open both doors. This LG solved the problem at 33" it has the breathing room needed on each side, the French doors open flush with refrigerator sides so we have full view of insides and it has plenty of room at 24.2 cu ft . Also it has a very nice water/ice dispenser which uses filtered water.View More Reviews
This refrigerator has exceeded my expectations in appearance and functionality. I love the in the door ice maker which does not take space away from the top interior shelf. The double freezer drawers make finding and storing frozen goods very easy without having to dig around. I would highly recommend this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have had my LG refrigerator for about a month now and just love it. I like how I can set the temperature for different types of food, vegetables, cold cuts, etc. The lighting inside is very bright and with all the glass shelves and see-through drawers, it is easy to find everything I need at a glance. Also, the wide shelves on the doors make it convenient to grab a drink bottle right away. For those with children, they might like how it gently "dings" to remind them to close the door. Seeing as I do not need the reminder, I was able to turn it off easily. There is a panel on the door that gives you lots of information on how it is functioning. I do not use it much, but if and when it starts to malfunction, I may then find it useful. The stainless steel is very sleek, but I find that it needs frequent wiping because fingerprints show. Overall, I really like my new refrigerator.
The fridge was delivered in January, 2017 and I will update this review as I discover things that I like or dislike about this fridge. For now, it is big, bright and beautiful. There is more space that I need, the ice and water dispenser are wonderful and the freezer compartment is very spacious and it is easy to access its contents. Significantly, the LED lighting in both the fridge and freezer are very useful.
We had an LG that went out after 2 years. Paid $300 to have the LG tech come and fix. After several attempts he could not and submitted his findings to LG. LG asked for our original receipt and promptly cut us a check for just under our original purchase amount. That encouraged us to have faith in LG and our search led to this model being the best option for our fridge location.
I really like the design of this refrigerator. Easy to use compared to the side-by-side I had before. Glad I got a French door with ice and water dispenser in the door. Had to play with the temperature to get the ice maker to produce enough ice without freezing my strawberries. I found -4 degrees to work best. I've had it about 9 months and overall very pleased with my purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
When considering a new refrigerator/freezer I took into account size and features. I have owned a bottom freezer unit in the past and truly missed having this feature since my move in 2013. My mother has a similar model as the one I just purchased and I really liked the way the unit is organized...having organizational OCD this was a bonus! Not to mention the quietness of the linear compressor and having the water/ice maker on the outside of the door. With the amount of water is consumed in my household it will see it's fair share of use. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This frig is a big step up from our previous one. The lights inside are very bright, controls are simple to use/adjust based on needs, there's plenty of room and areas to keep stuff organized, the separate freezer drawers also make organization easy, and the stainless exterior is very attractive. The only downfall we've noticed so far is that there isn't a dedicated icemaker in the freezer that we've noticed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I'm happy. The fridge looks good, and so far, runs well. It's a lot bigger than my old one, and the inside is organized nicely. The shelves are easy to adjust, a gallon of milk really does fit on the door shelves, and the drawers are handy. I especially like the bottom one that can be adjusted to hold meat at a cooler temperature. The crisper drawers seem to keep our vegetables fresh longer (again, old fridge was old). The LED lights are bright. I didn't even really want an ice maker, but now that I have one, I like it. The filtered water tastes as good as what comes out of my sink's filtered faucet. The door shelves on that side are smaller, but it's nice to have them there at all. I don't think the unit makes a lot of ice, but we've never run out. The pull out freezer is smooth and is easier to keep organized and searchable than a top freezer with a normal door. The engine (not a compressor, I'm told) does make some noise, but it's not obnoxious. The ice maker makes more noise, but again, not a problem for me. The controls are simple enough. The door chime seems like a nice idea for those times someone forgets to shut the door, but it goes off constantly while I unload groceries, so I turned it off. A temporary mute would have been nice. So, two months after purchase, I'm wondering why we didn't buy this thing a long time ago.
I have had my fridge for better than two months. I find that the ice maker makes lots of ice, especially if you empty it and store extra ice in freezer. it is a little noisier than my old fridge and definitely has a high pitched hum......not intolerable. it keeps things cool and there is lots of room. Love the adjustable shelves and the large door storage. Freezer is very convenient with the bin and the slide out shelf bin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
purchased last month ago and have loved it since day one and everything is working great . . It's super handy with its layout and the lighting is very bright. Runs very quiet. Plenty of organization. Freezer space is roomy and plentiful. I like having the open door alarm feature . No matter where the food is in the fridge it is cold [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have read a lot of reviews that said the ice bin was too small and with living in south florida and always getting a full glass of ice we have yet to exsperiance that but we also prepaired for the time that it might run out by utilizing the extra ice bin in the freezer, filling it half way. the only negatives is that it didn't come with a stick butter tray or an egg storage bin, so before getting rid of your old refrigerator make sure you save those.... TIP: when having delivered make sure you have a valve on the supply line where it connects to the refrigerator some deliver companies will not hook up the water line with out it
I was looking for a new LG fridge, but had difficulties finding a version that would fit into the prefabbed spaced in my kitchen. Luckily, I stumbled across this version at my local big box store and it is great! So much space inside and the stainless steel cleans up so easy!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great product. A tremendous amount of storage space. Ice-maker is very quiet. The appearance of the product is stunning. The interior lighting looks luxurious . Warning, be careful with the finish on stainless products and do not clean with any type of abrasive materials.
I took a lot of time researching this refrigerator. I love this refrigerator, but now wished I got the cheese drawer on the exterior as one has to open both doors to open the fruit, veggie and cheese tray drawers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We purchased this LG French Door fridge on April 2nd. It was delivered on April 3rd. I am so glad we purchased another LG product. (We have an LG Double Oven Stove) So far everything is working great. My husband had to repair the water line under the house, so we got the water hooked up yesterday. I thought it would take at least 24 hours to make ice, boy was I fooled! The 1st ice was ready in about 5 - 6 hours. I was so excited that it was making ice that quickly. This fridge has great features and plenty of room for everything. It is so quite, I have kept checking to make sure it is still cold inside. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Delivery was excellent. And we are very happy with the LG Refrigerator.
Everything was as advertised.
So far so good
I love the refrigerator. The shelf that moves for tall items is great. I find the freezer keeps items much colder than my old frig. I love that I do NOT have to look for my fresh produce by crawling on the floor or bending over to increase the blood flow to my head. Everything I use all the time is at eye level.
I bought this fridge because the space wasn't _quite_ wide enough for the standard 36" model. I'm disappointed that it cost more than the standard width model, even though it is smaller. Also, because it is narrower, the bottom pull-out drawers don't clear the shelves on the doors when trying to open them all the way; you have to open them part way and then rummage around to get to stuff in the back of the drawer. Also the shelves on the right hand door can't be spaced apart tall enough to fit a wine bottle unless you remove one of the shelves all together, because if you try to lower the shelf on the door toward the bottom of the door, it bangs into the pull-out drawer in the fridge box when you try to close it. Note to finish carpenters: PLEASE 't make refrigerator openings at least 37" - anything smaller and the client has to use a crowbar to get the fridge in place, and then can't pull it out to clean beneath it! Good/bad, depending on your point of view: the ice maker only stores a small amount of ice. This is good because if you don't use much ice, the ice doesn't freeze into a block and then ruin the ice dispenser mechanism when you finally try to use it. But, if you use a lot of ice, you have to empty the small amount of ice into the larger bin in the freezer in order to make more ice -which is a pain. Finally: kudos to the delivery guys. They were prompt, did the remove/install quickly without damaging anything.
Nice looking fridge. Good storage internally for a 33 in. Fits better than my previous fridge. My only compliant is the freezer storage compartments seem flimsy. I would have probably preferred the two external drawer freezer instead of a single. But I will make due. LG needs to re-do the water dispenser design, not very intuitive where the water comes out. Tends to drip.
This would be the most perfect fridge, EXCEPT the water in the door is just a small trickle. We opened the water line all the way and there is still only a very small stream that comes out. I have had ice/water in the door refrigerators before and this one is the only one that is not what it should be. Other than that little inconvenience, it is a great refrigerator! Plenty of room and the black stainless is beautiful!
I love this refrigerator with double storage for freezer. The only thing I would change is the wide drawer under hydrater which is used to store things readily used. It would be more efficient if this drawer was split in half so both French doors would not have to be opened when accessing this drawer for something quick. One of the few refrigerators with the right combination of width and height to maximize the interior space. Just one month with the product. Everything is working as it should. The only comment we have right now is the low flow of water through the front dispenser.
Ice maker within door, so it doesn't use up room in refrigerator. Water dispenser is tricky to use because you must hold glass exactly in the correct place or the water misses the glass. Stainless doors show fingerprint smears ALL the time, which is very annoying. If I had known, I would have gotten textured black, like my previous refrigerator. I like the digital temperature setting, so you can be certain to set it to the exact temperature you want. Water filter replacement is easy to install, but expensive (close to $50 every 6 months). After having had two side-by-side refrigerators for around 38 years, I am still getting used to the layout of this one (after having it for 3 weeks). Not as much space in doors for bottles as I would like. The freezer does hold a lot.
Very happy with the look of the fridge. This is my first fridge with an ice/water maker, so I was more dismayed than shocked at how much door space is lost, but I suppose that's a trade-off one has to make. Because of the lost space, everything is more crowded, but we are making do. Also, the one, long "deli" drawer is a switch, from a smaller one that just hung off a shelf in my old fridge. You're losing valuable shelf space and probably don't have that many deli-related items to fill up that drawer, so that was another compromise for my taste. It can be used for leftover storage or meats, perhaps, but it's rather shallow, so the items you can put in there are limited. Overall, I like all the features and the look of it, so, like most new things, it'll just be an adjustment period.
Nice looking 33" refrigerator that functions well for my narrow space. Like the ice in the door rather than in side fridge itself, very efficient use of space. Ice cubes are small so they melt (too) fast, but like the crushed ice option.
I will have to update this review in another week or two. My refrigerator was just delivered this morning (Saturday) and the water dispenser on the front door drips. I am waiting to hear back from Home Depot. They said they would switch it out for another one. I just hope the next one doesn't drip as well. I am not sure how soon they can get it switched out? Until I get one that doesn't drip water from the water dispenser I wouldn't recommend this refrigerator. I am also unsure how I will like the small ice maker and the tiny ice cubes it makes.
We have only had our new French door refrigerator about 3 weeks and the ice dispenser does not work. Not sure what else I can say as we have not had it very long. One thing we would suggest to LG is to split the wide storage tray in the lower section of the refrigerator in half to match the doors. Currently you have to open both doors to accesses the storage bin. Had we noticed this feature earlier we would have picked another mode. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
we bought almost a month ago totally new. First two nights of function was all good. But starting on third night, it started to do a loud noise which feels to be a compressor sound which last about 10 min or so. On the other hand, comparing to other owner I ve seen it and spend at home the same one used for 5 month doesn't do the same loud noise. Any other owner notice same and is it defect of refrigerator? Bought with a package even though it wasn't my first choice. I don't like the 2 small freezer drawers but managing to deal with it. There isn't enough door shelf space feel like all our condiments are shoved onto shelf thank god we have a second fridge in garage disappointed in the blueprint of this fridge. Ice maker on door is strange but we understand it now took some getting used to it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We purchased this fridge along with all other LG appliances during a remodel last year. The fridge looks great and keeps things cold. The attempt at putting ice maker in the door was a horrible idea, for starters it makes the left hand door useless for storing most anything. Second the ice maker doesn't hold enough ice for more than a couple of glasses Third, the plastic door/foam seal around the ice chute leaks cold air, resulting in condensation, that drips on the floor. Fourth, due to the issue above, more often than not the ice melts and then freezes back together, resulting in a giant block of useless ice cubes. Save yourself the hassle, keep the ice in the freezer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this Refrigerator after reading reviews. I love the way it looks. The problem was it did not work a service man came worked on it yet still it did not work. In the meantime ai lost a full amount of groceries worth quite a lot . Finally I decided one more try,so the repair guy came and said the compressor was not good. He ordered this and we then had a working appliance. This all took maybe a month. Not a happy camper at all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I like the refrigerator overall, but one of the doors came with a couple of dings. Then when they replaced it, the replacement door had a ding! and the replacement tech didn't even take away my old door. Now I have to make more time to meet the technician again at my house so he can replace it one more time! That's a bit ridiculous when you spend over $2,000 on a new refrigerator.
The icemaker was terrible! Very small ice cubes and doesn't fill up. We took it back. There wasn't an ice maker in the freezer either. So not good if you are looking for ice....but nice other than that but who buys a fridge with barely any ice? It seems as if it may have been broken. Only produced about 20 little cubes a day!!! The online Home Depot gave WRONG information too and they had a hard time finding answers.
The ice maker and water dispenser quit after the first day. Have had a hard time speaking to a real person about it...computer asks question after question after question, pressing number after number after number, and then on hold for over 30 minutes. Getting the run around. Finally, after two days, and of course after the 48 hour period that you have to return it to Home Depot, have a service call scheduled to fix the refrigerator that is brand new and cost almost $2000!!!!! NOT happy!!!
next time if i buy anything from lg get 10 years warranty [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
