The 26.8 cu. ft. french door refrigerator by LG has an extra tall filtered water and ice dispenser, slim ice system to free up space, spill protected tempered glass shelving, smart cooling tech that maintains optimum humidity and temperature, and easy LED control panel. Overall, this refrigerator is reviewed quite well. The rare complaint is usually about some durability and cosmetic issues.

Love
I have had my fridge for 2 weeks now and I love it. The bottom drawer in the fridge is perfect for my little ones snacks, easy for them to grab. The freezer has more room than I thought it would have. I love the fast ice cycle because as a family of four, we go through some ice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The French doors are great, very convenient. The refrigerator and freezer are both a lot bigger than our previous so we feel like we have so much room! Good lightings, easy access filter, ice is mad expensive quickly. Only slight drawback is that the ice holder is quite small.
Love it
Got this fridge about a week ago for new Kitchen renovation. I love the size, double doors and Bottom fridge with pull out drawer. The lighting is bright. One shelf has a break away allowing for taller items to be stored In front of it. Quiet operation. So far so good. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
INCREDIBLE
Only negative is that the ice maker needs to be opened up periodically and the ice unclumped. Other than that it is a wonderful daily experience and we are thrilled to own one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It's Huge.
Lots of room. Like the lay out of the interior. Like the bottom freezer, puts the stuff in the fridge at eye level. Ice and water in the door are great. Used to have extra ice trays in the freezer to keep up with our ice usage. We still do, but have only used them once since buying this fridge. We like the lighting, and the door shelves are big enought to handle just about everything. All and all, we are very happy with our purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Best refrigerator I ever owned. It's REALLY quiet, well-made. It has everything I ever wanted in a refrigerator, plus a 10 year warranty on the linear compressor. The design of the ice maker is excellent, it doesn't take up the whole top of the freezer the way my last one did. The only change I would make is the drawer inside the freeezer. They could have made it sturdier.

We love our new fridge! It is easy to organize and gives lots of storing options. One thing I wasn't aware of when we bought it (but it doesn't bother me) is the fact that the doors/drawer are stainless steel, but the sides/top are a grey metal. Ours is tucked between cabinets and so only a few inches of the grey show which may bother some people. I use the sides for our magnets!

So far very happy with my purchase. No problems with the ice maker, water dispenser and it seems to be pretty quite. Have had it only a week but so far so good. I thought I could put the milk in the side door but after reading the Manuel it needs to go on the shelve so that kinda takes up some room.
Great Refrigerator!!!!
I bought this refrigerator on black friday & absolutely love it! It has plenty of room & I love the slim ice maker in the door. The LED lights are amazing & I love that it dings when the doors are left open. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Compared to others available I would buy this one again.
I Love the water dispenser that some reviewers don't like because I could fill a small glass, large pitcher or even a 50 gal barrel if so desired. The temp control holds both refer and freezer to the exact temp indicated. The doors feel solid. 4 stars because; The stainless steel finish is hard to clean without streaks and scratches easily, There is no separate compartment to hold butter at a slightly higher temp. The ice maker needs a good pounding once in a while to loosen ice jamed in the bottom (not dispensing). One small issue- Only the sides are magnetic so my wife can't cover the doors with magnets (may be that's a good thing),
Great choice
I've only had this unit a few days but our family is extremely happy with it so far. If it performs as well as the other LG products that we own, we will be continue to be LG enthusiasts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
So far ....So good!
This replaces our five year old Frigidaire which was nothing but problems. It is very well designed and the freezer is quite spacious. The lighting is great and the ice maker in the door leaves more shelf space.
LG French Door Refrigerator
Purchased February 2016 and by November air filter light came on. Also, ice maker makes very small ice cubes and amount, and, ice gets jammed in dispenser. Love the retracting second shelf so when you need to store additional items you can. Produce bins are good. Slide out meat locker is a dream. The sliding drawer in freezer is wonderful to keep smaller items and leave the larger area for larger items. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Handles Need Improved Finish
I've had this fridge for one month. Basically, I really like it, but there are a few cosmetics that need to be improved upon. The handles are made of a glossy black finish and do not wipe off easily with a sponge, even when you apply pressure. Do NOT use abrasive cleaner or even a gentle scouring pad to remove any caked-on food, or it will dull the shiny handles. Not practical. I also have a tiny scratch on top of the freezer drawer just by opening and closing it, so be careful there as well. Apparently, the black finish scratches easily. My last fridge's doors (side by side) closed easily with a light push. These doors do not. Make sure you don't walk away before checking the fridge doors are completely shut. Otherwise, the looks and functionality of this refrigerator are excellent. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
LOVE IT!
We bought this frig Labor Day weekend. I really like that the ice and water are separated. My husband was always forgetting to move the switch and would get water when he wanted ice with our old frig. I love the door buzzer when doors are left open for too long. The only two things that I would change would be 1) when getting ice or water being able to open the other door and look in the refrigerator. and 2) the top basket in the freezer be metal. We have NOT had any problem with the plastic basket in the freezer but would just prefer metal. These two things are the only reason I am not giving 5 stars. Overall, we all really like this product and am very satisfied! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We've been happy with the performance of this fridge.
As the main refrigerator for our house, this unit has received daily, almost continuous use since we got it over two years ago. It has been a good refrigerator so far with only a few minor issues. What’s been good: 1. The controls are easy to access and change (temp, ice settings, freezer, etc). 2. The water filter is a nice thing to have and is easily accessible. However, it does take a bit of pressure to pull it out and properly seat a new one. 3. The freezer is roomy, can hold a lot of items and has a handy shelf for storing easily accessible items on the top. 4. The shelving system is easily removed and easily adjusted for different heights. This is the same for the door shelves. 5. The ice maker is quick to make ice, especially on the ice plus setting. 6. The shelf that retracts is also a handy feature which allows for taller items. 7. The controls are lockable which is nice to keep the little ones from adjusting the settings. What could be improved: 1. The refrigerator is fairly loud when the compressor is running. I have pulled it out several times and cleaned the dust out but it has always been loud. 2. The door shelves can easily break (they’re just plastic) if they are slightly overloaded (as we found out after we apparently put one too many items in the door). 3. It seems like the air isn’t distributed evenly as items on the top shelf in the back can easily freeze. 4. The stainless steel doors are not magnetic and so attaching the children’s’ drawings requires tape. 5. The ice can sometimes get stuck in the dispenser which requires opening it up and picking it out. I have noticed though that this only happens if the ice maker has not been regularly used.
Different kind of storage if you're new to French Door refrigerators....
We just got our fridge & so far I have to admit, it's taking some getting used to. When we were shopping for refrigerators in the store, I never even thought about where to put my butter. But there isn't a compartment for butter like there is in the door of most refrigerators! Also, the platter tray is a nice idea...but really, you have to use it for your deli meats & cheeses because there is no separate drawer for those items. I guess if you DO use it to store a party platter, you'll have to take out everything else that you've been keeping there. I'm also struggling with not having enough door space for all our condiments. Just a few things to keep in mind if you're going from a standard fridge to a French door model like we are. I'm not sure I like it....
Ice maker sucks
You get about one big glass full of ice per day, and my wife and I drink a lot of ice water so it's not nearly enough.

The reason I bought this refrigerator is because the reviews were pretty good and the cost was affordable for the most part. After a few short months of using it we noticed some a couple things that have become pretty frustrating. The ice machine constantly gets stuck and the door shelves cracked and 2 have since completely broken. I wouldn't recommend this product. I'm currently on this web site to purchase replacement for the broken door shelves.
Disappointed with LG
My girlfriend is a big fan of LG appliances, but I was skeptical. We bought this refrigerator for a house we were building. It looks great and the freezer has plenty of space, but those are the only two things I like about it. The water filter leaks and leaves puddles of water on the top shelf, the ice maker freezes up every time we use it and has to be manually cleared out and the meat/cheese drawer is not easily accessible (both doors have to be open to get anything in or out - if it had a little flap on it like other LG models this wouldn't be an issue). This will likely be the last LG product I buy. I'm just not impressed with the quality all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Fine for 5 years and then.....
This was delivered to us in Feb. 2011. All was well until it was a hair over 5 years old and then the freezer iced over, the ice maker quit working, and within days the entire unit stopped working. After our repairman came to check it out, we discovered that the compressor went out. This is apparently a common occurrence. I actually spoke to 2 other people who experienced the same issue right at 5 years. The compressor is under warranty, so we contacted LG. We have not yet received approval for the part. Our repairman said that he is not a fan of LG because of the problems getting these parts and the expense of putting them in, only to have it be some sort of electrical issue. We have given up. We need a refrigerator, not coolers with ice. New fridge (not an LG) coming tomorrow.
Nice quiet refrigerator with lots of room. But does have a weak point.
Have had this refrigerator for a couple of years now. Purchased it at the end of November 2013. I was concerned when purchasing about the lightness of the door bins and all the drawers. The gauge of the plastic seemed thin compared to my last unit. But figured LG makes quality products and they must know what they are doing. Problem is, the door bins break very easily between the clear / with plastic part. I now have 3 bins I have to replace for the same exact problem. I suppose I could epoxy these bins back together, but I hate the idea of doing so on $2700.00 refrigerator. It would look very unsightly still pretty new refrigerator. LG will not replace them, and my 5 year home depot extended warranty will not cover it as well. My last refrigerator had milk door bins, etc. And lasted the whole 15 years I owned the unit. Would not recommend buying this refrigerator unless you are ready to replace these bins at $30 a pop from time to time.

We've had this noise maker for about 6 months now. We really like everything about it so far except the high-pitched squeal that it makes. After 5-6 service calls and having a motor and water regulator gizmo replaced on this NEW refrigerator the dratted noise persists. I wish I knew where to turn to get this issue resolved. I'm pretty sure a new 'fridge shouldn't be louder than our dishwasher. HELP!!!

BUYER BEWARE! Most likely you are going to love this product, I did until it broke! The $2000.00 plus that I spent when I purchased it down the tube in just under 6 years. What a waste. I bought this because I was impressed with the features just under 6 years ago. I loved the construction, form and functionality of the unit until.....This past June the freezer stopped freezing which also stops the ice from making. The outside panel was very hard to read as well. Service (With an LG truck and logo) guy came and changed the compressor and the front panel. $450.00. It takes the technician 3 or more days to get you in for an appointment so you can count on everything going bad. Once everything was replaced ran great for 1 month. Called LG again. Now this is July. I then waited 5 days for the same guy to come back out. Lost all food again. He stated that he just needed to add some more refrigerant. Great! Worked well again for another month and low and behold Aug. same thing...Lost all freezer food. Same guy comes out and adds more refrigerant. Same thing worked fine for about a month and low and behold... Sept. same thing... Bye bye food from freezer. 5 days later same guy comes out and stated he never notice but there was a hole in the line so he soldered it and upon leaving said that he will not be back if something happens again. So he gave up. Told me that since this has happened so many times I need to call LG to have them reimburse me for the food that i lost because he is LG's certified repairman for my area and all the service calls are documented. Well that never happened LG does not reimburse for food lost. OK, so now October.....Same thing, I called LG and even though I paid for the work initially there was nothing that they could do to help. Well they never fixed it right to begin with from June but now I would have to pay to have it fixed. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REPAIR IS A JOKE. Plus you can not understand what they are saying so ask for a supervisor and than you may get someone that is in this country. They weren't able to help me anyways. I really wish that they would have stood by their repair. Just purchased a Whirlpool maybe since that is mostly made in America I will have better luck.
Doors do not close correctly
Right door pauses and needs a tap to close. Left door slams shut popping right door open. Would attach video but don't see that option. . Owned about 3 weeks and has done this since Day One. Also, removing the warranty linear Compressor sticker and you will have a tattoo on the stainless. Love the interior space, lighting, finish on the handles. This item will need extended warranty to cover doors shutting improperly. Sad reason to buy a warranty. Email me and I'll try to post video.
Noisy!!
I bought this fridge based on features and the claim from LG that it is quiet. The features are there but it is unbelievably loud. In fact it vibrates and shakes so bad the bottles inside rattle together and you can hear that throughout the kitchen. I have checked the level many times, made sure it was clean but nothing helps. Freezer Ices Up
Bought this unit from HD about 2 years. The lower freezer keeps icing up and then leaks water out the front. Tried to fix it myself by thawing it out and adjusting the slide rails. Then I called LG tech. support. The fridge was just out of warranty and they wanted to charge me an extra $400 for an extended warranty. I will never buy another LG appliance based the inability of their service department to fix this issue without having to pay.

DO NOT BUY LG horrible refrigerator spent $1800 on it less than 2 yrs ago. The compressor went out and its gauranteed for 10 yrs. but they fail to tell you its gonna cost you $750-800 bucks to get it installed. The technician told us he has seen tons of these refrigerators break down and said they also have electrical problems with them as well, he said even if we fixed it the most it will last is 5 yrs. So needless to say we went and bought a different Ref. I have complained to LG and they could careless. All they did was send me a sorry letter and it was a robotic one at that. Piece out LG you lost me as a customer FOREVER

Buyer beware, our two year LG just died. The compressor went out, which appears to be a common problem. Fortunately we purchased the 5 year warranty so we don't have to pay for the labor on a 10 year guaranteed compressor. Took 5 days to get Home Depot service to come out to diagnose and now another 7 - 10 business days to get the part. No loaner available! If you purchase an LG appliance make sure you have a 20 year old backup refrigerator and upright freezer to keep all your food. Never will purchase another LG appliance again.

They will break down right after the warranty is up and service on them is terrible! We paid over $2k for a frig that only lasted 3 years. They sell the warranty for just long enough that assures it's up right before the frig breaks down. We have been without a refrigerator for over 2 weeks!! And they still keep giving us the run around without being honest as to when we might have it repaired or replaced...paid from our own pocket. I'm really disappointed at the cheap quality of LG refrigerators and more so on their terrible customer service. Neither myself nor any of my friends or family will be buying LG products again.

I bought one of these at Home Depot in late 2013. It has developed a refrigerant leak somewhere inside the walls and is un-repairable. I have spoken to several appliance repair people and they all have said that this is a common problem with LG fridges. I have also noted online that many people are having refrigerant loss anywhere from 1 year to 3 years. For more than $2000, you would think you should get at least 20 years out of it. LG needs to step up and take care of their customers on this.

This refrigerator was our first LG purchase. The refrigerator was delivered October 4, 2016. After a week of using the refrigerator, we knew that something was wrong. It was not making ice and the refrigerator was only cooling to 41 degrees. We were scheduled to leave town for a week so we waited until we returned to contact LG. The refrigerator is a "smart refrigerator" so LG customer service attempted to correct the problem over the phone. We discovered quickly that this didn't resolve the problem. We contacted LG customer service again. This time we were given a contact of a service technician. After contacting this technician, we learned that the company doesn't service our area. Again, we contact LG customer service. We were given a different contact. This technician claimed he couldn't reach us until after Thanksgiving. OK. Meanwhile, we are using our backup refrigerator in the garage as our milk is curdling before the expiration date. Giving the benefit of the doubt, we wait until Tuesday after Thanksgiving to reach out to the technician again, only to not be able to reach him or get a return phone call. Once again, we contact LG customer service. They have arranged for the same technician to come on Dec 12, even though I expressed my disappointment in the technician thus far. If he can't return my call, he is not someone I want to service my appliance. As of today, he has not contacted me to arrange an appointment. I am very dissatisfied with this purchase and with LG. My range quit Tuesday before Thanksgiving; I will not be purchasing LG. I will be sticking with Maytag appliances. I was in Home Depot this evening purchasing a new stove and discussing my LG issues. The Home Depot employee contacted LG while I was there and after being placed on hold for an extended period, he was disconnected with a message stating they were closed for the evening. Again, I recommend purchasing a different brand.

Fridge delivery Friday 11/18/16 3:30 p.m. Love the size and lighting inside if you don't wanna go to a counterdepth. Big marketing word for "paying more for a smaller fridge" This is regular size, very spacious and we don't mind the extra inch or two sticking out (two empty nesters). Delivery went somewhat smoothly, however, handles were removed to get thru front door and installed upside down once in the house (plastic wrap says to avoid removing handles). After I removed outer plastic cling wrap and 10 yr. warranty sticker noticed permanent stain or "tattoo" where 10 yr. warranty sticker placed directly onto stainless. Called HD who referred me to GE customer service who referred me to LG Customer Care. Representative acknowledged this sticker leaves a permanent mark and offered me 3 options: 1) $250 for cosmetic flaw 2) replacement of R upper door panel; or 3) complete replacement of fridge. I was just trying to find out if there is any way to remove this stain and manufacturer acknowledges there is no way. Really? So eventually the LG rep offered me $375 in a check to be delivered in 4-6 weeks to accept the cosmetic damage. Now the ice maker is not producing. Placed phone call to HD West Cobb store within 48 hours to log concern, no one answered in appliances. Called back and asked for store manager. Amy took my phone number and said store manager, John Littie, would call me back before 7 p.m. closing. No response. Hope to hear from someone tomorow.
Pretty Face, Ugly Heart.
I bought this 3 years ago when I could barely afford it. Since then, it has been a nightmare. Compressor is still under warranty, but oh yeah - it still costs $600 to put the part in - out of my pocket. NEXT, the control board fails - another $400. By my math, LG products cost you twice. Once when you buy, and again if you try to keep them for more than 2-3 years when they self-destruct. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
