Our AC stopped working. I called Choice Home Warranty. The whole phone call took about 4 minutes. Received an email immediately and another one an hour later confirming a technician would be out to my house later that day. Technician came and fixed in 20 minutes, paid my $45 fee and my AC is up and working perfectly again. Highly recommend and very professional.

Sept. 26, 2017We live in Texas and need air conditioning most every day of the year. Last Friday our AC unit stopped working and I called Choice to enter a claim. A friendly voice greeted me and within hours I was assigned a service technician. On Monday the tech arrived, on time, and diagnosed the problem as a faulty blower board. The next day he installed the part and my air conditioner was back working again. This was our very first claim since we purchased CHW and we couldn't be more pleased with their level of service throughout this entire process. I did research before we went with Choice and now I know why they were rated so highly in the home warranty business. They exceeded our expectations and they earned our highest praise and recommendation.

I spoke with the young gentleman named Phil and he was very knowledgeable. He helped me get my account started got my contract ready and no time at all. So far I am completely satisfied with a customer service and hope to be this satisfied if I should ever have to file a claim.

Call was answered promptly and very professionally. The questions asked were easy to understand. The total call only lasted a very few minutes. Leaking water heater. Was fine last night but got up this morning and water everywhere. Tank has had not problems since I purchased the property over one year ago. Have a plumber ready to replace today. Water has run under my wood flooring and I will have to replace it but I won't know for sure till we replace tank and check all the floor.

The claim assistant was just great. She was able to answer all questions, even those not specific to this claim. The only problem I have in speaking with her then the conversation with Lewis ** is the discrepancy in information they gave me concerning when your company actually request maintenance record. It is a great concern of mine in respects to my other contract **. I was going to cancel this new policy due to worries I had in this respect. My father has for the last 50 yrs or so actually installed and maintained A/C, Heating, and electric and even some plumbing systems and has maintained all these years. I'm worried that if they need repairs or even replacement that they would be denied as my father has never kept such records. It is not a question of him no longer maintaining said equipment but one of age. He is now over 100 years old and I don't want him to have to do repairs himself. Lewis insisted there was nothing to worry about that records were really only requested when the contract is fairly new. At this time I see no need to call in any claims as everything is currently working fine. So after all these discussions I agreed to not cancel the contract. I will be extremely upset, if when your services may be needed for that contract that it will be denied due to lack of said records. Either was both of the people I spoke to today were friendly, patient and seemed to be very knowledgeable concerning the questions I had.

The representative from Choice Home Warranty was very professional but personable. He thoroughly explained to me how the warranty works regarding service calls and the monthly charge for the warranty. He was very considerate of my time and agreed to call me back later that day to finish our conversation as I had a doctor's appointment I needed to go to and did not have time to finish our conversation. I had a little problem with my A/C. I called your company. You dispatched a technician from Comfort Pro. His name was Steve. Steve was very polite and adjusted the problem. The time frame between the breakdown and the repair was 5 hours. This is really outstanding. Your company is good and Comfort Pro is good too. AC repair - The process was smooth, efficient, and fast. From the time of my first call till the service was completed satisfactorily was three days. The tech that came to the house was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I was very pleased. I had American Home Shield for five years prior to switching and without getting into the gory details as to what happened with that company, the experience with Choice was like night and day on every level.
I was absolutely blown away with the fantastic customer service skills of this employee... I had a complicated claim that hasn’t quite been resolved due to my heating system trying to decide if it works or is on strike. Numerous visits by service company, numerous appointments... I could barely keep the details straight but this employee NAILED it and was so helpful and professional and LISTENED!!! (rare trait) Give that lady a raise!!! Thanks!! My issue may or may not be resolved yet, but the way in which it was handled today makes me glad I chose Choice!
I am very pleased with the service I received. The gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I wasn't quite sure exactly what was covered. He knew what was and wasn't included in my contracts. My wait time to be connected was short.

I called regarding the neglect of the two prior companies who were to repair. No followup of the companies and I have been dealing with the problem since July 11, 2017. The girl I talked with did a great job handling and I really appreciate it. Someone is to come Jan 29 between 11 and 3 pm.
We have decided to sell one of our Condo units. I have used and have a current Home Warranty on a unit and wanted to review other Home Warranty companies. Not just for price, but what do others offer. I read many reviews on the Web and selected three companies to review. In reading the reviews they were for the most part the same, the good, the bad and the ugly so you have to read the reviews between the lines. One agent called me back at once and was concerned and interested in me with what were my wants and needs. The agent, Joe ** was professional, knowledgeable, well-spoken and concise English, explained all about the company and its offerings. He knew when to accept my needs and needed to go no further. In this day of voice mails, texts, robo calls it is refreshing to hear a human voice that knows the benefits and features of his product line. I signed up.
I was pleased with Warren. He seemed to know his products. He was very thorough, offered his name phone number and extension. He offered me other options to further my needs. He fulfilled his promise once our phone calls was complete.
I contacted CHW around 7:00 AM on 01/25/18 to report problem with heating unit. The claim was filed. Within an hour of registering the complaint, I received an e-mail informing me that an appt had been scheduled for that afternoon. Powell Heating and Cooling Services had been assigned the claim. Tech was timely and completed the necessary repair. This was remarkable service.
Your rep was friendly, and knowledgeable in his product, his sales information and had an excellent presentation. I wish I had had a dozen like him when I was a sales manager. If your service is as good as your sale team, you have an outstanding program.
The agent was very knowledgeable. Although I don't like the hard sell, Myles made the experience bearable. I would recommend to a friend. Also, the value for the money is great. The no contract is also a great feature. Myles was also willing to work with me when I could not charge the entire amount to my credit card. The experience was good for a service that is needed.
Placed call to CHW, I talked with a customer service person, explained that my garbage disposal unit was leaking, they stated a plumber would call me with 24 hours. I received a call from their plumber and had a new disposal installed with the 24 hours as stated. You can't beat that. I would recommend CHW to anyone.
Called CHW for a furnace problem. The HVAC contractor came the same day and fixed the problem. The contractor, Chicagoland Heating and Cooling, was very professional and did an awesome job in less than an hour. Would recommend CHW to all my friends. Thanks CHW!

I have always had a home warranty and they are right when they said it is very expensive to repair any major appliance so that's why I will always have a home warranty. I was called and greeted by a salesperson Louis. He was very kind and very knowledgeable with your product. He answered each of my questions with honesty, something I value and appreciate. At first I was going to purchase 1 year to "try" the service since I have not been a customer in the past. However, Louis was successful into selling me the added value of the 5 year program. I sincerely hope my next experiences are as good as the first. I am currently happy but will not recommend to a friend until I have to use the service. Thanks!
We've had 2 problems since being with this company. The 1st problem... leaky hot water tank. Took 3 days till someone came and if I hadn't called CHOICE back on day #3 (night before Thanksgiving) to get a special other phone # of repair company, Turns out-they had forgotten about us/the repair, it would have been several more days till the repair was made. Last week we lost our home heater. Choice got someone assigned immediately, but it took them 3 days to get to us (in the dead of winter). I spoke to the repair tech (the day the claim was assigned) and until the repair was made, he said/we suggested to heat our home by boiling pots of water on the stove. Thanks to the tech, our home was warm and cozy until the repair was made.

The first repair company did not show up or call me to let me know they weren’t coming. You then waived the service fee as a courtesy and set me up with another service company. Dishwasher was repaired by a “mom and pop company”, not very professional looking service people and no uniform shirts. I have no idea if they did a good job or not since dishwasher motor doesn’t sound like it’s working properly now. Don’t know if they put a new motor in or a refurbished one. New motor should not go bad so quickly.
Repair tech quick and on time, Choice fast response and professional. We had blocked water line, not covered so cost was $230. Warranty was worthless, we could have called a tech and got the job done without the fees to Choice.
Salesman was a little pushy over phone. Not so happy about the $45.00 service call every time you come out. I had a service contract on east coast of Florida and never paid a service call. Price for year was a little less. Only time will tell how I would rate your service.
Your Website is easy to navigate, I am please with the price of your product and information provided. Patrick did a good job of explaining and upselling your warranty. Time will tell whether this is a good purchase. As of this time all I know is that I took a risk, Not sure at this time if it was a good one. I am sure time will tell.
Called in a service request (water heater). Agent was patient and polite but had a heavy accent which made communication difficult, but we got the job done. We were disconnected during the call, but the agent called back quickly, and we finished the job.
I was told everything was covered. According to the contract, many things are excluded. This is dishonest in my opinion, and I sincerely hope it does lead to cancellation. Exclusions were never mentioned—just tried to sell me a longer plan.
Choice Home Warranty is great when your repair is basic and inexpensive. They repaired a leak in my dishwasher very quickly and efficiently as well as a minor repair with the washing machine setting. It was great. Anything more significant and it seems there is push back. For example, they refused to purchase a part for my refrigerator ice maker. Then they offered to go in on it 50/50. I was a bit thrown off as this approach was not outlined in the contract. I finally got them to agree to pay for 100% of the part, which is what they were contractually obligated to do in the first place. It seems that most requests require advocacy, research and time to get things moving in the right direction. Even then, I haven't recently had a positive end result. I'm not a lawyer, but my perception is that Home Warranty's contract gives them legal leeway to back out of coverage in many different scenarios. For example, they are no longer covering my chef's stove even though the maintenance is up to date, and it's only 50% thru it's normal lifespan. It's worth $4k but they are only offering me $350 to replace. I'm having to dig thru contracts to understand what my legal rights are here. It's mostly been one headache after another with Choice Warranty. Based on my experience to date, I couldn't recommend them.
The prior home warranty company, American Shield contacted Meyagie's Services (817) 849-2066 & they changed out the A/C unit with a brand new unit. Aug. of 2017 I also have photos of the Meyagie repair guys on site working that had replaced it prior. The unit began having problems again of not cooling. I turned in a claim with Choice Home Warranty since I was now contracted with them. They sent a company out to see the issue (I don't recall the name of that company though but I am sure Choice would have it on record) and I was told by the two repair estimate guys that came that Choice would not cover it due to rust and the guys who came out stated they could take care of it for me just to help me out if I paid $1500. cash directly to them and they would do it on the side (sounds crooked to me). I contacted Choice and they asked that I fax them the repair from Meyagie of Aug 2017 in which I did Nov 2017. I have not heard from Choice to date and it's Jan 27 2017. I sent them another email.
Choice Home Warranty is in violation of CAN SPAM laws. They send their emails under different addresses/aliases each time, and do not honor unsubscribes. I receive at least two emails per day from this poor excuse for a company, none of which are relevant to me. I have unsubscribed many times and continue to receive them. Each separate email in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act is subject to penalties of up to $40,654 - the FTC needs to enforce this for us poor consumers! I'm about ready to change my email address just to get away from them.
Well where to start.....to purchase this coverage- easy Peasy. Best pricing we could find at the time in December 2016. Fast forward. New home, didn't need the coverage any longer so we have chosen not to renew. Email after email, with one offer better than the other only days apart. Phone calls to renew on land line and cell phones. We asked to be removed from the list of phone calls. Assured yesterday we would be. Today, we get two more calls at the same time!!!! Land line and cell phone ringing simultaneously. Seriously??? I answer the land line. Speak to the person calmly but forceful. Remove our numbers as requested yesterday, or I'm going to contact the BBB and our AG. The guy on the other end said ok, your numbers have been removed. Same words as yesterday. We will see what tomorrow brings. At least with the 'unsubscribe' feature on emails those solicitations have ceased. Moral of the story- easy to get, luckily never had to use (I can only imagine how difficult that process could have been) , extremely difficult to break off relations after repeated requests. Harassment???That's what it's starting to feel like. Our BBB and AG are just a phone call away.
